Growing in Thailand

Hey all, it's been a while since I've been on here. I'm planning on moving to Thailand soon and growing some weed.

I don't have any experience with autos and I've heard the buds from autos are not so strong. Also I love pruning and mainlining.
I will experiment with some autos outside but I'm more interested in normal seeds..

So I'm thinking of setting up a grow room for Thailand;
If I have an air con in the grow room does that mean I have full control of temperature and humidity??

My thoughts are to veg indoors in a grow room or with multiple tents in an air conditioned room. I'm planning on getting the plants pruned (mainlined) mature and a decent size before putting them outside to flower. All of the year the day light hours are between 11.5-12.5 hours. My worry with flowering outdoors is the humidity which ranges between 80-90% throughout the year. If I attempt to flower outdoors am I going to suffer from bud rot? Is it possible to grow outdoors with this kind of humidity? Am I going to have to veg and flower indoors?

I think if I were moving to Thailand I'd find another hobby and smoke out on the local stuff. It's legal to grow there now tho isn't it?

Kinda like moving to Canada and growing your own Xmas tree or carrying coal to Newcastle. ;)

Thanks for your useless comment. To be honest I'm not really interested in what you would do or why. I love growing weed, it's a hobby I love and now that it's legal to do it in a country I love and have lived in before then I want to go out there and make money from teaching scuba diving, growing weed, and creating food forests to geo an abundance of tropical fruit. I'm just here trying to get some advice on how to grow successfully in Thailand's climate. If you can help with that then I'd love to hear about it.

Well it sounds like you've got it all figured out then....go to a place where weed is a dime a dozen, scuba divers are everywhere and food is already growing on every tree.... Yep you'll be raking in the baht hand over fist lol... thanks for a useless thread

Since they have 11.5 to 12.5 hours of light, I would not bother with autos, might as well grow outdoor photos.

I would think the locals would know the best approach to growing outdoors, as I'm sure most do not have indoor grow-ops.

I'm guessing electricity prices are expensive, as such I would suggest just a small indoor grow-op.

I was in Phuket in January 1996 and it was hot and muggy, can't image what it will be like in the summer months.

The pot was decent and very cheap back then, the tourist price was only $20US an ounce....I heard the farmers would sell a pound for $20, but not sure what prices are nowadays.

Question....what are the laws for growing and personal possession?

I'd veg outdoor, flower indoor. You want more climate control and lower humidity during the flower stage. Or both veg and flower indoor.

Spray them before you bring them in. I've finished outdoor plants many times indoor here in Michigan, where we have a short season.

Although he may be better off just goin all indoor.

Regardless, he should have some sort of IPM in place, especially in a high humidity environment.
