Ok i have already expiremented with this and its not really worth it all...The plant is most likely going to end up really skinny with few leaves and streched out..i had two plants the same strain and same age one with 8 hours of sunlight and the shady one...the shady one got like 1-2 grams as the other got a half ounce...The sun is more powerful than you think and your babies NEED it to grow big and healthy..just my 2cents...

Umm smoking and reading dont go hand in hand for some I guess. Your in the outdoor threads.:wall:

I guess thats what you get for being a smart ass.

The plants will live int eh shade but they will not produce hardly anything that way. In my outdoor experience plants need @ LEAST 6hrs of light a day to make it worthwhile. The more the better though, full sun all day is preffered.

Try finding a spot where the sun comes through holes in the forst canopy all day (which is hard as the sun changes position in the sky during the day). I do 90% of my growing in the forest, theres always a sunny spot somewhere:mrgreen:

Well maybe you can grow it there and in the mean time you find a better place to grow it.
hey dude, not the kindest thing to do to steal a picture for an avatar and not even tell the person that you got it from.
In fact I think its damn right rude that you took my friends picture without telling me so I could let them know that you are using it.
Im assuming that you got it from this thread sometime after yesterdayhttps://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/90511-when-lower-temps-purple-strains.html)

On another note, Do you even know what strain that is? Interested in growing it?

I thought we all graduated the 1st grade? is it REALLY that big of a deal to make a whole paragraph about "why did you uses my avatar w/o askin?'

Yes it is. Have you spent 5 years of grows indoors to developing and working with a strains genetics? Maybe when you think of breeding something nice and look into what that requires, you will then understand.

I do apologize for coming across so harshly, i didnt intend that.
It would have been a different story had he stolen a pic of nirvana's shitty genetics instead of a personal friend of mine.

It's just a picture. It's not like he ripped off your friend's crop. If anything, it's a compliment. He obviously thought it was a great looking plant, and wanted people to see it.

No harm, no foul.

And in that thread you linked, you said YOU were growing that in YOUR grow room. Which is it, yours, or your friend's?

Alright back to the point here, isn't indirect light good enough? I mean my plant stays mostly shaded, but it gets some light in the a.m. Other then that it's usually darker. Well good luck with your plant man.

Yeah, indirect sunlight is ok for it live on, but it's not good enough a plant to produce a good yield. It has to have at least 5 or 6 hours of direct sunlight per day for it to be happy.

Im an indoor grower but because I ended up with more females than I expected to (not complaining about that) Im going to have to move a few outside. How would a plant that was vegged indoors under 600w MH for 6 weeks then moved outdoors to a semi-shaded area do? There are small "patches" of light everywhere so It wouldnt be totally shaded area.

Only thing I could see here is that it may go into flowering a bit earlier then expected, maybe even stress it a bit. being that it's 6 weeks old though it should do just fine outdoors.

My plants are all females just a week into flowering, If I move them outside, partly shaded in parts of the day, how will my yeilds be compared to full sunlight? And how about compared to indoor flowering using 600w MH?

Its my friends strain. I have seeds of the strain im growing out now.

Plants in the shade flower like shit, they can veg there half decently but you need an area with @ least 6 hrs light to flower with a yield worth anything.
