Growing in high heat? (Discussion)

Hello RIU,

I've got a question and I figured I'd throw it up for discussion. Hopefully it doesn't get lost.

So I am attemping my first grow (legal) and thus I'm just taking things step by step. I've got to do work to my house and right now my cabinet is in a room which is ~10-15º higher than it's final destination. I've got a small 4" inline exhausting air - but no intake. I was running at 88º with the door open and 91º with it closed. I just keep it closed because for 3º I'd rather not have a headache all day from the light.

This brings me to the discussion. These plants have origins from places that can be typically hot and humid. Maybe not THIS hot all year round. Obviously my temps are way above optimal.

To compensate I've done 1/2 waterings daily rather than full every other. I've also done small foliage mistings each 'lights out' to (maybe?) let the leaves recover from transpiration.

Have other folks simply dealt with heat issues indoors and grown accordingly? Outdoor is beyond control and I know in our area and many southern states these temperatures are normal.

I plan to correct this as I said. But for now I am curious as my plants don't seem to mind.
