Is the ph of your tap water taken AFTER adding your nutrients? Because they can create a big swing

Im sure it would likely work using it as is, but you could likely make it marginally better by accurately adjusting ph

According to most people you want to keep it at 6.5. I keep mine between 6.3-6.5 running fox farms happy frog and coco. 50/50 mix with perlite added in and have no issues.

Good point. My heavy16 mix drops from 7.2 tap to 5.9-6.0ish

Flush with water. It should be fine after that. So much talk about PH around here. Coco is the way to go if you ask me. What size pots are you using?

I get that... unless your pulling water out the gutter you should be fine... I've never had a PH issue. So I'm kind of at a loss for words when it comes to all this pH talk..

If youre using nutes and tap water you may likely never have an "issue" without phing. I didnt even do it properly my first run and still did pretty well. That being said, if you dont ph it could cause issues down the line, and proper ph allows your plant to drink better.

have you ever used roots organic original soil? if so what would be ok to feed my girls using that? if I may ask
Any line will work with that. Advanced nutrient... General Hydroponics or Cutting edge... all have a nice line. All easy feeding schedules. Hope that helps!!

I've been using FFOF but don't like that its amended heavy and seems inconsistent bag to bag. I would like to feed sooner with my nutes "start and grow" . I've thought about going coco based but not sure if I want to hand water hydro. I would like to try something with a lighter charge and natural based.

Im just starting w coco always used to use promix. I like what im seeing.... girls seem happier. Dont know how to quantify it. Does seem like sttronger root growth i had roots out the bottom of my smart pot in no time....i to use H16 and the full line up keeps me 6.5 almost always no adjustments needed and like i say girls look happier than ever

I hear complaints about cal mag problems. Im seeing the opposite. Of cource im using call mag more religously so that prob effects that as i headed off problem before it began. But i always got this light yellowing of the upper leaves and it looked like several things and i tried cures for em all and to no avail. They atill grew like weeds and the problem went away always in early flower. So kinda one of those things i cried uncle on and quit worrying about, right or wrong. That was in promix. Not seeing a bit of that this time....
