Growing in clay pellets?

Does anyone here just drop their germed seed into clay pellets filled in a net pot?
Will the roots eventually grow out of the bottom?
Can the plant secure itself into the medium?
I don’t want to deal with soil anymore. I have two net pots with two germed seedlings in there right now. They didn’t get the paper towel treatment and I’ve had to help the small root by adjusting them once yesterday. They look like they will break free of the seed on the head today. (Possibly)
How often would one need to spay to keep these things growing in here?

Rockwool is gonna be a nightmare. It stays too wet. Order root riot s instead. Rapid rooter are great too but they're all deformed and don't sit flat cause the bottoms rounded. Root riots are a lot sturdier and come in a tray, squared off.

You just let the seedlings get decently sized in them. The roots get blown up in that tiny space and once you throw them into your hydroton clay pellets, they take off quick.

Also, fragileassassin has come up with GREAT RESULTS using an aerocloner with the collars. Just sprout seeds in damp 1-PLY paper towel and once it's 2-3" long, out it in the collars and into the cloner.

dang hopefully you get yours on the 8th! That tray those cubes come in is essential. I'd cut it into either 4x4 squares or individuals though and keep the ones you're not using in a ziploc freezer bag. Just cut out and off however many you need for what you're doing.

try Ebay. everything i bought off it lately ships within a day or so.
That would be because instead of an enormous warehouse shipping out thousands of daily orders, you're dealing with INDIVIDUAL sellers who have no problem getting your shit down to the post office and sent out!

that's why I suggested it. amazon warehouses are virus hot spots.

Oh that’s nice! Did you make that yourself or buy it? That’s mist yeah? Did you grow In dwc before and switch or start with this set up?
As I said... Not my pictures. But he built it himself it's far too easy to waste money buying one. And RDWC is great for bugging and flowering. Easiest problem free setup in my eyes.

Hi. Thats mine.
That cloner setup all in cost me $50-60.
You can get a commercially built one for about the same price if youre in the US, but I was able to get exactly what I wanted with building my own.

Here's the full set of pics that Air was talking about. After over a year of popping seeds and trying different methods to get the best start for r/dwc, this is the method I have settled on and my favorite. IMO its the least work and the fastest start for hydro.
I popped these seeds in a loose mixture of coco and perlite in double layer seedling trays with humidity domes.
At 4-5 days above ground I pulled them out of the trays and put them in the cloner.
They were pretty much just a straight tap root and a pair of leaves when they got put into collars, the first pic was like 3 days after I put them in the cloner. It takes them a few days to adjust and start rooting.
Pictures span 18 days given 0 nutrients.

Best pics I have posted of how I transition from cloner to R/DWC system on page 2 in the first few posts.

Look through this. Ive been told is a good read and worth the time. You'll learn things.

Forum tip for ya fragile,
You can click on the number of the post you want your links to open up on. It refreshes the page with a new URL you can copy paste and it will open to the post you clicked on. ;D

Well like I said, you could have each one pull up right to the pics rather than saying what page and about how far down, lol.
