Growing in a bin.

Sure, no sweat. I'd reccomend building a door on the front somehow, or watering and whatnot will be a huge pain in the ass.

I put a 70w HPS in a trash can. It's a round one though and only 32 gallons. with a few passive intake holes in the bottom and a 4" inline fan in the top it runs at 80 deg F. You could probably put that 125 in the top, and fill the lower sides with regular 23 or 46 watt cfls.

I really like the straight sided square bin too, maybe I will upgrade.

Here are the fans I mentioned. In Line Duct Fan,boost air flow The 4 inch size is nice, because you can use the flexible shiny dryer hose to pipe the exhaust somewhere if you like. This was just the first one I found on google, there may be cheaper :)

I can't tell whether the 23 watt bulbs would fit in the cord you linked, I don't see them listing the size anywhere. If the 125 fits into that, I would assume that the 23 will not. The 23 watters fit into the same size sockets used for normal incandescent lamps, however, so it should be no problem to find some kind of cord, or fixture to use them with. Also, you can buy the 23 watters at any department store...walmart type of place. Heres the first place I clicked on from google for 23w cfl :)
