(FIRST TIMER)

Okay so I'm going to try to grown again, and I have some questions if you wouldn't mind helping me out I would surely appreciate it.

I will be growing indoors in Arizona. I wanted to know exactly what I need to gather for this to be successful.

Question set # 1
How big of a growing pot?
what type of soil? (pro-mix was one of my choice)
what type of light?

Question set # 2
How long does it usually take?
when do you know when to harvest?
exactly what type of nutrients will I need, and when do I apply these nutrients?

Also would it be okay to grow in my room with just a fan blowing on the plant with a window open for circulation? I own my own house so the privacy factor doesn't matter at all so I can leave the windows / door open if I need to.

what type of soil? (pro-mix was one of my choice) Black gold or foxfarm
what type of light? how many plants? hps/mh conversion

Question set # 2
How long does it usually take? Depends on how big you want them. 4-5 mounths is a gestament.
when do you know when to harvest? 2/3 of the pistons turn red
exactly what type of nutrients will I need, and when do I apply these nutrients? you need a grow and a bloom. i use general hydro flora nova

i would get some more ventalation then that. but if its small(couple plants) that would be ok.

I would use Fox Farm nutes and soil, depending on how many transfer you want to do. You can start in a gallon pot or just plastic cups. You can use cfl or hps depending on you money situation. You can veg for 2-8 weeks (remember your plant can upto triple in size, so veg with cation). You can flower for 8-12 depending on the stain. With soil plant apply nute every other feeding, with hydro its about every 10 day, ytou will need a ppm meter to be sure. You know when to harvest be checking the trinched, for couch lock= amber... for heady high= cloud/milky. Yes blowing fan and window open is great, keep the temps in the mid to high 70 or low 80s...

Hope this helps.... Keep us updated

Well I only want to grow 2 plants at a time.
could I just plant them both into 5G buckets to start or does it have to be in a smaller container?

I have been reading some, and when it comes time to bud I will need a special light right? I'm going to start this whole thing FEB. 11th so I'm gong to start collectring the stull I'll need to get this going in the spare time.

veg for 2-8 weeks / flower 8-12 weeks
I don't understand this term? when you "veg" what exactly do you do, and when do you do it? same with "flowering" - thanks

put them in 2..diff 3gal containers..veg is when the plants are not producing buds, just growing green growth. the lights are on for 18 to 24 hrs a day. flowering is when the plants a producing buds and the lights are on for 12 a day.

Thanks I'm taking note of everything so I'll hopefully be educated enough to produce some personal herb so I don't have to bother buying / looking for it.
Also how fast can you grow a good amount using this method of growing i.e inside / closet.

basically the first half of your plants life and the second as Bud said.... Looks like you need to do some reserch on faqs b4 you start, you dont wann waiste money. Atleast get the basics down. What light you going with?

veg is the first grow cycle after the seedling stage it is 18-24 hours of light then you can flower once the plant gets to the size of your choice by switching the lights to 12/12

Yeah thanks guys!
hope I'm not asking the same questions as everyone else, but I hope to become to successful grower, and lend my help out to others as well.

So I had an idea... GROW BOX
I was going to build a plexy glass box with a built in air circulation system, and fan + lights. I have been watching grow videos, and was thinking you could just build an air tight box, with a ventilation system to control the humitity, and then just have the hummitity meeter / air controls on the inside.

What do you guys think about that? I think it could work then I could attach a times drip like system connected to a trash can filled with the water / nuts the plants need to grow. then the lights also on a timer.
