Growing by the beach...

Hi everyone, I grabbed 3 seeds from a very good bag of weed and sprouted them. I potted them and will grow for the first time.
I live close to the beach (5 min walk) and uphill, so I get a lot of ocean wind and humidity.

55 to 85 °F averages, around the year, so it's a cool/subtropical climate.

Do you have any tips for a year round humid place to grow?
Is a growbox mandatory to control humidity? How about the tap water being more salty? etc..

Thanks!

The story I had read said Ocean Grown and was something about a response to someone saying mountain grown was good, and so they said, well, ocean grown is better...

Hey, I added a pic from the balcony where I'll grow, my next steps are buying a hygrometer and some CFL lights.
You can see on the picture the sea is not far, hence my worry with humidity and salty air/water.

From my research this could be fine during the first weeks and vegetative phase, but I'll have to control the humidity during flowering.

D0 was August 29th
D+2 - First seedling showing up on 2 of 3 pots.

Remember, bag seed is there for a reason and is very likely to pop bananas.
What do you mean Renfro?
Edit: you mean a higher chance of being males?

Regarding being Ocean Grown, there's some indication it might be right, the first article on Google mentioning OG Kush for example:
"OG Kush was first cultivated in Florida, in the early '90s when a strain from Northern California was crossed with a Hindu Kush plant from Amsterdam."

They mean be hermaphrodite. Has both flowers and 'bananas', which are slightly different from male pollen sacks, but just as devastating to nice, clean, seed-free buds. Usually, a bag seed is the result of a hermie plant at the main grow, and a hermie plant has a higher chance of making hermie children. Not a guarantee, but easy enough to watch for and pluck off if you keep your eyes peeled, regularly.

Wish we knew for sure! I'm pretty confident is is not Original Gangster, at least! ;-)

Thank you Verrice! I'll keep an eye out for any signs of the plants' sex.

So I went shopping today, and found 32W and 25W CFL bulbs (6500K) at a hardware store.
I got the 25W because I didn't trust the sockets I have in my house, and never installed them myself.

Does anyone have tips for arranging a CFL bulb with 4 or 6 lamps?
This article caught my attention: https://www.growweedeasy.com/cfls
Using splitters and extenders to fit 2 or 4 lamps in a clamp light socket.

They recommend using 42W lamps, any worries regarding the sockets/wires being safe to use considering the wattage?
Any articles or tips regarding CFL installation would be appreciated.

Pic #1 - The two Indicas are from the brown pots I posted on september, the other Sativa is from a seed I got on some street weed. (took this pic a few days ago).
Pics #2 and #3 - Close on the Sativa, the leaves (#3) started with this bright coloring effect, any thoughts on what this might be?
Pics #4 and #5 are the Indicas - they developed a resin on leaves way earlier than sativa, but they're not as mature I think.

I think I was killing the plants with too much light, I put them on the balcony and they have 3-4 hours of direct sunlight.
So, only some nutrients from time to time and water. Any tips on how to finish them? The Sativa is maturing faster.

The sativa is looks like it is hungry and needs to be fed. Though it kinda looks like there is white speckles all over the leaves so you might have a pest like spider mites, i would be looking closely at them.

None of the plants are showing signs of maturing yet. Which means you have an absolute minimum of a month left. Don’t rush it, you will be rewarded for patients.

The indicas really should finish first if all things were equal and healthy.

A close of a middle cola:

Any tips on how to finish this one? I'm giving her more potassium, but I'm not really sure what to do.
Thanks everyone, this is my first try and I would like to smoke some of it, even if she's skinny.
