Grower's Choice ROI-E720 MAJOR FAIL!

LGLD is doing returns as returns to mfgr, not warranty replacements till they receive the the other lights.

Growers Choice doesn't even want to hear or deal with it. That's the warranty, exchange for a working light from where you bought it, not "or your money back". All sales are final unless it's broken, then you get a replacement.
Not send it back at your leisure and get another one till you go to the post office the next week, either.

I'm not going to look up LEDGrowlightDepot.com's return policy, you spent weeks doing extensive research.
It's too bad they don't but they aren't going to cover the warranty out of their pocket. Hopefully, you can squeeze postage out of "Erik".

Send it back for exchange thru distributor or return for 25% loss restock fee and pay for postage since I see no reference to postage.

I didn't buy some stuff from Rapid LED because they had a restock fee and a similar policy on exchanges and postage, I read the return policy first and made a different purchase.

well, now I'm speechless just got this email from LGLD who was told by grower's choice..."Grower's Choice was going to have a boost mode on the models, but when they were released, they didnt include it. No one has the boost mode since no E720s include them at this time. They shouldn't have said they were going to include it and then not have it on the fixture"

So then WHY ARE THEY ADVERTISED AS HAVING A BOOST MODE!

ust uploaded a basic comparison video between the ROI680 and the ROI720 measured at 12" from the center....wtf.

I hope you paid by credit card because you have protection there. Shithole stores like this try to put bs restocking fee and pay for shipping to hassle you not to do it.
If they sent you a dud or a broken product your card will back you and get all your money back and seller will have to pay for shipping if they want their gear back.
Online purchases are backed by you getting a working product and you can do a chargeback if merchant is being a dick like this.

Tell them what you want ie a working light or full money back and if they still refuse just copy the info and give it to your card company. They will tell the merchant ro fuck off for you.

I bought an e420 and two 680's and they performed beyond expectations, my e420 at 25-50% alone beats the 600mh I used to use by a mile. the 680's performed equally if not better than my 1000hps Hortilux, so why would I think the e720's would perform any less than expected?
I didn't say they wouldn't, I said you cannot believe what you are told which is a fact in most cases. You are speaking of lights you have tested yourself, not what some sales person or company told you. If you have tried and got results first hand than you know what they do and it is not the same as just believing what you are told. Ask all those with the 1200 and 2000 watt blurple lights. They all thought they were 1200 and 2000 watts, don't they feel foolish. Look at your own statement. "So then WHY ARE THEY ADVERTISED AS HAVING A BOOST MODE!". The answer, because they lied and cannot be trusted.

I did, and I filed a claim, and today they agreed to take them back without a fee or shipping cost. still that leaves me with no lights until i buy new ones, the frame, adjustments to my room, hours i spent putting them up, doing research, the day I took off from work, to receive the shipment, hours/days/weeks i spent haggle with them, money i lost in reduced yields, etc...and now i get to do that all over again with whatever set of lights i decide to go with, THANKS FOR NOTHING GROWER"S CHOICE!!

This was just sent to me by "ERIK" from LEDGrowlightDepot.com, this is HIS solution to selling me defective lights, the balls on this guy..
What's the rest of the email said from both parties? Looks like perhaps its only saying one side of the story to me. I've met Eric or however he spells his name and I personally thought he wasn't a person who'd I call a dick, just a businessman who is trying to protect his bottom line like everyone else..

I am sorry to hear you had troubles with them but do appreciate you posting your issue to warn others. Many thanks for doing that.

I don't know what GC's email said to ERIK, but I assume he was quoting them. His response could have been a little more supportive, but I don't really blame Erik. He's just reiterating what GC tells him, which has been BS. I think he thought I was full of ish' until i sent him both of these videos. Can't say I blame him, after all what are the chances I happen to get TWO newly released defective lights? I honestly believe these lights are just pure deceptive junk.

I disagree completely and I was unaware only experienced growers could read and interpret information, but if that is the criteria then I guess growing since the day I was an overgow.com member should qualify me.
I didn't just wake up and purchase these on amazon cause they looked cool.
FYI, I’d listen to Renfro. He actually knows his shit! Also quality lights from quality companies don’t come broke!
