Grow Wurks - False Advertising

Companies can set their prices where they want, but I hate when they lie and deceive. Growwurks advertises that they will meet any advertised price if it is the exact model etc etc, and unless it says not applicable on that item's description. So I sent them a link for a ballast that met all their criteria.

I got an email back saying they no longer price match that product. What they should have done, if they were a reputable company, is say OK we made a mistake, so we are giving you the price match, but then we will note that that item is not price matched in the future. That would have cost them all of $30. Instead they are losing a customer, and I am warning all of you about how they play.

That's shitty , but I would almost expect a place like that to do something like that .
I didn't know anything about them, now I do.

Update: they tell me they couldn't possibly match that item, they pay more than that for it. But that's not the point. No-one is saying they should lose money. Just be responsible for your own errors and be greatful instead of punitive to a customer who brings in to your attention.

By the way, here is the link for the good price on the Quantum Digital 600w dimmable ballast. $138 shipped and that includes both cords for dual voltage.

This may be the best deal on a 600w digital ballast out there. The only reason I wanted to buy from Growwurks is this place wouldn't really promise it would be shipped in a plain box.

bump because I'm still pissed

the people at Grow Wurks are legit - great people and VERY knowledgable. As for their business policies - I dont know. HOWEVER, i know that their prices are pretty good and the advice they give as worth just as much. Sucks that you had a bad experience, but regardless - they have good selection, solid ONLINE prices (instore is higher), and excellent source of grow knowledge.

Ehydro.com matches prices, but their price match includes competetor shipping. They are a local reputable company with good service.
