I'm using 3 tents
Homebox but all tents are near enough the same in theory
So far no problem in the smaller one for heat and humidity.
As long as you have a good intake and exhaust you'll be fine with the tent,.
There very good in my view.I'm using carbon filters aswell and i have no smell untill i open the tent for watering and that.
Have a look at the pics in my link and you'll see how well they seem to work
Hope all goes good for your grow dude

tent sounds too small for 600w lights and 6 healthy plants!!!! 100x100cm or 120x120cm tent would be better!!!

Hi stoners, I have a 4x4x6 ft grow tent with a 600 watt hps, and one exhaust fan, attached to the light blowing out the tent connected with 6inch ducting, and I also have a tall osolating fan inside the tent with nine plants. My last grow went ok, but my average operating tent was about 90 degrees F. When the tent was on, an about 70 when it was off. I'm trying to get my operating temp down to about 75 what should I do?

I have the same exact tent from htg supply.I have a 400 in it right now and 6 plants in there right now as well.I do feel like i need a bigger light like a 600.But my temps in that closet stay at 78-79 with lights on.1 4inch fan for exhaust,1 6inch fan exhuasting the light in a air cooled reflector, a 4 inch for intake and oscillating fan in the room is what i have.

I'm gearing up a couple of grow tents and thought I would stick some questions in here...

My 11 day old seedlings are looking happy. Where do you all securely host your pictures? I'm thinking Flickr would not be a good choice, heh. Probably not on my Facebook page where all my religious relatives share their bible quotes of the day ;)

Veg tent. Homebox. Interior dimensions 39" X 39"
Carbon filter -> light hood -> 4" inline fan -> exhaust to room

Flower tent. Another Homebox 39" X 39"
Carbon filter -> light hood -> 4" inline fan -> exhaust through a pet door to second floor balcony

600 watt HPS too much for a 39" square tent? Hood will be well cooled. Or would a 400 be a better choice?

The pet door idea turned out to be good. I traced the dryer vent with a Sharpie on the heavy plastic flap. Then I used a box cutter with the blade heated with a propane torch and cut out the circle and mounted the dryer vent and sealed it with silicone. Some air will leak in but that's part of the plan. When it really gets cold I'll crank up a Mr. Heater Little Buddy propane heater to take some load off of the central electric heat while enriching the air with CO2. As soon as I figure out how to safely post pictures I'll give you all a look.

I think the 600 would be fine in that tent specially if you can control heat.I plan on getting a 600 soon
