Grow Tent

Hey guys i was thinking of purchases a grow tent do you guys have any reccomendations? are they worth the money? Also when you buy one do you need to put some mylar or something relfective on the inside panneling? or does it already come with something? Thanks again.

I bought a DR120 grow tent from BGHydro (in California) and love it. It is 4' x 4' by 6.5' tall and has a reflective interior. The tent material itself seems to be very good and strong, but one of the plastic corner supports exploded like a cheap pencil when I was pulling the tent over the frame. However, I could not lay it on its side and had to improvise relative to their instructions. Here is a description:

It has a 6" double-socked vent at the top for an inline fan, large front door and side zippered panels, several more vents and feedthroughs, and a separate floor piece for spills, etc. It is surprisingly useful I found and works better than I was expecting. No problem with heat, although I am venting continuously with an inline fan connected to a 4" duct that attaches to my light fixture cooling tube inside, and vents through the roof of the room into the attic on the outlet side. There are some light leaks if you're worried about that, but otherwise I'd recommend it. Decent support from the top light hanging bars as well (and they provide 4 of these).

I just set up my flowering tent which is a 4x4x7 ft high sun hut. I paid around $230 for it. Ste up a 1000 watt hps and can flower 9 plants in there easy, and another 3 more at maximum capacity. And i have a 640 cf/m exhaust fan pulling heat off the bulb and its so powerful that it causes air to be sucked out of the tent through the glass cover of the hood. It sucks air through a 4 inch hole at the celing of the tent and blows it out of a 6 inch exhaust port on the side. and if I dont have the door or window open it'll warm the entire room. My temps are around 80-85 degrees in there and it feels a little humid. however theres another 4 inch port at the bottom for a blower. I would post some pictures but my camera sucks and is light sensitive so its kinda hard to get a good shot. And its small as fuck.
And yes, the tent came with a strange white reflective heavy duty material on the inside and is completely light proof.
And I also had a hard time getting the waterproof bottom over the frame and i ripped a couple corners, but not badly.

I'm still tinkering with controlling the inside temperature when it's zipped closed. I just got my inline fans today so that should help.

Ok so this is my first time growing. included are pics of everything. Ok so I'm using a hydro hut. one 600 lamp. I have 10 plants. the purps. I bought the clones at the store and transplanted on 3/12/08 They have been on a 12/12 cycle since today. (I was told to put them on a 24/7 schedule to revert them back to veg growth because they are too small, but back to that in a min.) I started with the seamax stuff on 4/2. I watered with it about every 3 days. The soil is a 50/25/25 mix. I have pics of the 50% stuff and one of the 25% stuff but I forgot what the other 25% was.

They started turning yellow about 2 weeks later 3/27??
Was told to start nutrients - i did
seamax (not the bloom one) started 4/2 watered about every 3 days
Still yellowing and dying getting worse.
ph was normal
so i flushed 4/16 b/c I thought it could be nute burn
now I think it's the air and I just bought a new fan and am waiting for it. also started 24/7 schedule on 4/23 (My tallest plant is 15 inches and my smallest is 10 )
and because apparently that's what i should had done (i'm kinda pissed at a guy who gave me all the advice in the beginning) But it's ultimatly my fault because I should have been more involved and done the research and asked you lovely people before now. anyway.......

Is what i'm doing good now? Should I be doing anything else?
The ph in the water is good. I watered today. But I think my biggest problem was/is the heat and air. My 4" duct fan is coming tomorrow or fri. I also have a tower oscilating fan in there now and will keep in there. I had a suggestion to get a carbon filter, if I get that do I need to get something else? like another fan or something? also my thermometer/humidity thing will be here hopefully by the weekend. Oh and how high up should my light be when they are in the veg. state? if you look at one of the pics up top there's one that shows inside the set up. And now that i've gone back to veg. how long should I do that for and then how long will it have to flower for. Basically how long till I can harvest a descent crop. I'm really in no rush, just curious because i'm thinking about building a veg. room and putting new clones in it. But i think i may be getting ahead of myself. I have sssoooo much to learn. I really need to find a mentor. You guys are great and i really appreciate your time. Thanks again.

ok...you said that your ph was normal....exactly what is the PH of your runoff water?
