hey bro the link you gave me to ebay in reference to the 4 inch in line fan had been sold so I couldn't look at it. But I found 1 that I think may be it :

so also, I could use the same fan as both an intake fan and a second one as an exit fan and even ad a charcoal booster to the end of one as a odor eliminator and finally use an air cooler for the 600 hps and be good to go???

You don't need/want an intake fan if you are using a decent exhaust fan. In almost all cases, you'll want at least a little negative pressure in your tent to keep the odor in and only exiting the tent though the ducting attached to your carbon filter/fan ducting.
Also, you'll want to match an inline fan size to your ducting size, to your carbon filter size, and to your air cooled hood size. And it's usually preferable to go with the largest size of ducting you can (like 6")... just something to keep in mind before you start buying any of that stuff piecemeal.

Most people attach their ducting like so: carbon filter (attached to inside roof of tent) -> ducting -> inline fan -> ducting -> air cooled hood -> ducting -> through tent wall port -> exhaust hot/filtered air away from tent. Cool air is passively pulled into the bottom of the tent (most tents already have passive intake ports/slits/holes pre-cut into them or at least ports to run separate ducting into the bottom of the grow tent).

Man I hate to say it but I am confused. I will be running 2 tents one small (about 3 feet by 3feet) for flowering 4 plants and a larger one like 4ft by 4ft for Veg. can you tell me exactly what I need for each of those and I will get it. Once I get it, I can figure it out, but now trying to figure it out is giving me a headache, LOL.

Agreed, and why only take clones once you cut down your flowered plants, you need to do that 10-14 days before so they have established roots and have any chance for survival in the flower room.
I smell more planning needed!!

Yes, I agree. Thats what I'm trying to do and unfortunately this is the only place I can get any quality research done. The only ones enjoying the fruits of the labor is myself and my wife so we don't need a lot. A couple of Mom's. I thought that would also be fun to take care of and see how big and healthy I could grow them and just take clones off them. I figured 4 clones would give us enough yield for a long time to come. But I want to do it right. I bout a 3x3x5 mylar tent. A T5 8 bulb fixture and need to figure out the rest now. I am thinking that I will have to get another tent to house the T5 light. I realize now that the T5's are a bit large for just a couple of Mother plants but I'm here now and it's okay it will give them extra room and me extra room to work. What I was thinking with the fans is that if I got an intake fan and an exhaust fan I would not have to ever worry about temperature being a problem and I could put the same in the flowering tent and add a carbon filter to help with the smell. I think you guy are saying there is a much better way to do it? BTW the tent is not in use, I have the T5's in a closet that burns real hot and I have a portable A/C keeping it cool. I had planned to use the small tent for flowering when the time came.

I think I understand the cloning process. One takes the clone from the Mother and places it in the grow cube and leaves it in the veg chamber with the mother for 10 to 14 days in order to develop roots (even a dome to participate humidity would be good) and when the roots have developed well it can then be moved into the flowering chamber to be checked for sex. If it is a girl, good to go and can be feft to flower, right?

Here's sort of what I'm talking about in this picture. The air in the tent gets pulled into the carbon filter located on the left of the tent in this picture (although ideally, it would be better placement to have it attached higher in the tent to draw in the hottest air that has risen to the top). The air then gets pulled into the inline fan (there can be a section of ducting in-between if needed but in this picture the fan is attached to the filter directly). The air is then pushed into and through the light hood or cool-tube via more ducting. The air then travels through more ducting through the outside of the tent where it can be exhausted away.
Cooler air will passively enter the tent at the bottom (most tents have passive intakes already pre-fabricated in the correct locations near floor level). Notice that the carbon filter, inline fan, and light hood or cool-tube should be the same diameter or you can run into efficiency issues with moving air.
This configuration will result in the tent having negative pressure so no inside air will leak out. Only air that has passed through the carbon filter first will leave the tent. It also cleans the air before passing it through your light fixture so you won't have to clean that glass often. The fan is also located before the light fixture so it doesn't have to operate with that heat (increasing the life-span of your fan).

You will have established that your mother plant is female already..hence "mother", so when you take clones they share the female genetic and all subsequent clones will be females. A dome for high humidity is very important.

You should also at this juncture point out that every bend in the ducting places more pressure on the fan to suck effectively, a ratio of 1.5x needs to be applied to each bend etc. so you eventually need a bigger more powerful fan or you need to try and place everything as close to inline as possible.

you take a clone form a flowering mom and it can take up top a month for it to even reveg again then needs to grow some then flower. no way you wasnt to run it right into flower. weeker less buds. and i never sent that link to any fans if that was questioning me on it.

Id just have 1 mom under a 250w system with the clones that you want to flower under a 600w system. A 1000w light in a tent that size seems like a little over kill. But that just my two cents im no pro

so true on that. i know i have a hard time trying to get what my thoughts are down on type. but you sure dont want to flower a clone that hasnt reverted yet to fiull veg. thats them 3 finger leaves after we try n reveg them after bloom. can take up to a month, then youy want veg for mnin 3 weeks as a healthy unstressed plant to use as a flowering plant. you dump that cut right to flower again i bet it hermies. or at least does shitty
