Grow tent search

I am going to grow in a gorilla tent next year. I been using the BCNL bloombox but it does not provide the yield I’m looking for. Im looking for something to flower nine plants in. I’m liking the Gorilla Grow tents. Is there anyone out there using these grow tents that has any advice for a newby buyer? Such as: what size gorilla grow tent do I need? How about lighting? I was thinking of buying the 5x9’ tent with the 2’ headroom extension. I was thinking about two 600 watt hps bulbs. Any advice on tent size and lighting is very much appreciated. Thx in advance robc

Ok so brand makes no difference to yield. Size of tent and how well its lit as well as environment is what you want to focus on.

For a newb think about matching the tent size to the lights available in your budget.
As an example if you want to run 2x 600w HPS then look at 1mx2m up to 1.2x2.4m (4x8ft)

If you try and cover more than 1.2x1.2m per light then think about maybe using either a 630cmh or a 1000w hps/mh.
To me 5x9 would require two of either of those lights.

Tent can effect yield in the capacity of it allows you to control the environment including (and importantly) light filtration. I mean ensuring light outside the tent doesn't come in during lights out.

That aside, assuming your choosing between brands that all have tents capable of this, core Webster is 100% right.

I have a unit farm tent and my buddy a gorilla. Mine is a third the price or less and is quite good, his is slightly "better" but if we switched tents it would not change our yields on iota because both give complete environmental control.

Personally, if I was in your position, I'd forgo the gorilla tent and put the difference towards lighting or filtration systems
