Grow tent op 1xsnow white 2x mystery 3xbagseed

After joining the site and a lot of reading and gathering info I've decided to start my own grow. This is my first for anyone wondering.

Materials:
Grow tent 16X16X78
150w HPS
Timer
Miracle gro
Ph and soil meter
6 CFL'S
Two speed fan

March 2 I put three seeds to germinate and March 5 they were in the soil. By March 8 they came up the ground. They where housed in a sterlite homemade box before I got the tent. The bulbs where 1 40 watt 2600 and 2 26 watt 6500 and 3 23 watt 2600. I have had them on 18/6 since they were in the soil. The snow white is about two weeks old it was an outdoor plant so that's the biggest one. The mysterys are seeds I received when I ordered the snow white from nirvana. In 48 hrs they already had legs coming out.

well, since you asked...your tent is 16"x16"x78" ? that thing is designed for growing one plant at a time. you don't have nearly enough room for plants from all your seeds.

and there are better choices for fertilizers that are made for weed. basically you want anything with a reasonably high ratio of nitrogen, say 15-5-5 or similar, for the vegging stage and something with a high ratio of phosphorus, say 5-10-5 or similar for the flowering stage.

Yeah I was the told the same thing. I was hoping before they got bigger to make a homemade box to house the other ones in. As well how much do you think I can yield in their if everything goes good?

As the ferts go I'm not going to lie I'm still a newb so I really don't understand that much of the process. Were would it have those numbers and as well what brands would you recommend? There's a hydro store by where I live and they have vegg fert and flowerin fert.

New update: March 12th, 2010

Today when I went to look at them one was laying down like it was done. So I put it to sleep. :'/ I changed the biggest bagseed I had into a bigger pot the roots were touchin the bottom they looked good. I hope they aren't shocked. The snow white is lookin a lot better just needs some nutes. The mysterys I don't wanna loose hope and say they died. So ill give them a few more days. As promised I will post pictures later on tonight.

The reason the mystery and the two bagseed died was because they were under cfls with a fan and no water the soil dried up completely. The one bagseed that made it got real tall its stem is about a inch tall idk if that's normal. I was in a 3day vacation so that's why I couldn't water. Pictures to come!

yield is determined by so many different things that an estimate is kind of meaningless. that said, if you do everything right for four months you could get an ounce or two in that space. if you get more space and more lighting, then you can get several ounces per plant if everything goes well.

i use botanicare pure blend pro grow and pure blend flower, but just about any nute system at a hydro store will work. as for the numbers, they are clearly shown on any fertilizer container.

Thats less then i expected. i was hoping to get around 4 oz the least but i guess if i get a better light then things would change. My plan with that tent is to house a mother in to get clones from in the future im planing on getting a bigger tent when money comes in. Hopefully its within the next month or so. As nutes go im going to be looking into that. The snow white is my boys plant and im telling him he needs to start giving it some nute its about 3 weeks old. As well I had a quick question how long should i veg for and flower? btw thanks for all the help its really appreciated man

a typical set up for you would be to get the bigger tent for flowering and then divide the small tent into top and bottom halves. keep the mother in one half and clones for the other half. then you would veg the clones for about 4 weeks. flowering time is determined by plant genetics and is usually between 8 and 11 weeks of 12/12 lighting.

Yeah nirvana says its about 9/11 weeks. So ill watch that. As well I think this tent will have to be the one I use to house them till yield so wish me some luck. Hopefully I get about 3 oz if that. Again thanks and I will be sure to pass it on

The day before yesterday I dropped the snow white that had finished germinating into a pot with soil. The next day it was already coming up. Now today its already opened up with two small baby leaves. I throughout the mystery seeds because they didn't look like they was still alive. The bagseed is lookin good. It has two new flowers coming out. The snow white is looking good as well. It has a lot of flowers and its enjoyin the light a lot all of them seem to like it. As well today I'm going to get some nutes for the snow white. Its also going to be moved to a bigger pot maybe a 1gal. That way the roots get to expand a lot more while its getting the nutes. Pretty soon. Ill move the bagseed prolly in two weeks or so. Or whenever I start to nute. I still haven't gotten a thermometer so I don't kno what my temps are like. But they seem to be pretty good. I do have a fan blowing with the bottom part only on the tent open to let the hot air out as the fan blows. Will post some pictures later. Typed this through my phone.

My plants don't seem to be making any progress in new leaves or getting any taller. Some of the leaves are turning yellow and some have light greenish yellow spots on the tip of them. Could anyone tell me what's the sign of that? As well I can't post pictures till later cause I'm on my phone.

I know. Its kinda hard to get them up. I go on from my phone but today I will post some new ones.

Update: the bagseed has its new pair of leaves. 4 in total the snow white is making slow progress and the seedling is getting their. My temps are a big problem right now when I woke up they were 108.9 with humid at 67 now their in 88.4 36humid. I can't seem to keep it lower then that in here I might consider getting a exhaust fan to suck air out and keep a good air flow. Taking pictures now.

Edit: what should my temps and humid be I changed them to a bigger pot and its reading now 85.5f hum. 47

85 in the day and no lower than 60 at night is good. Higher humidity during veg is good (i try to hit 70% but its kinda hard to do.) and the lower in flower the better. Also, remember: Heat rises.

Yeah I was planing on getting a exhaust fan sometime friday so I can get the heat that travels to the top out of there hopefully that would help

I put the bagseed and the snow white both in a big ass pot I water through the bottom it has something where you can juss water them and it goes upp when it needs it i still water from the top till the roots get down

the second picture is the bagseed what do you guys think can be the problem with those leaves looking like that i didnt give it nutes so its not burned and they always been watered i think it got real hot and kinda got burned by the light but it grew four new leaves so i hope those pop out real good.

What you guys think I know i didnt take too many but hey its something

Cant really tell whats going on in those pics. Never put plants in the same pot that can only cause problems.

Yeah I know I was telling my boy but he said it should cause the roots would juss grow down but I'm sure they going to travel everywhere. Especially trying to nute them now would be a lot harder. I'm thinking of getting something to put in there to seperate them from touching. I hope the roots don't touch eachother and tangle or something cause that would suck.

Aswell I'm having heat problems. Its staying around 96 with the tent door close with it open its around 80 82 the highest. I'm thinking about throwing a exhaust fan 70 cfm juss to suck the air out and let the intake air keep the air flow going. Any ideas in that? Thanks as the same plants in one pot I know its crazy idk why I listened to my boy lol I was high and it sounded right.

juss learned a good lesson dont ever use MG its juss plain shit! going to try to get some fox farm friday and start some plants over
