Grow Tent Design and Set Up

I have about $600 that i want to spend on a tent,can filter, and the whole 9.. i didn't want a tent bigger then 3x3x6 and as for lighting i wanted to try my luck on the sunblaze t5 8 lamp and mix in some warm spectrum bulbs when flowering comes around..how does this sound? too weak or what?

its 8000 lumens in floro with 9 square feet. thats less that a 1000 per square foot w/o including loss of lumens from distance. I think you would be better off going with an hid from htg for the same price but i also dont have any experience with that lamp. My CFL grows were homemade fixtures with a it spread between top and sides. Id love to here from some1 who's used large commercial floro fixtures.

what are the dimensions on that T5? will it fit in your tent? My 8 bulb set ups are 4 feet long. For a space that small and on such a tight budget i would go with the flourescent set up. If the 8 bulb doesn't fit they make compact florescents (not the shitty ones from home depot) that would work great in that space, and you wouldn't have to invest as much money on your ventilation set up because they don't put off nearly as much heat as hid bulbs do. If you do go with HID get a MH bulb rather than HPS to start off. They last much longer than HPS bulbs do. Also if you get a convertable ballast you can use both types of bulbs on the same ballast. oh and dont buy a tent man. Draw up plans to build it yourself if you have the time and dedication. Its much cheaper this way, and you can build it to custom fit your particular area.

i don't have much time lmao... this will be my 3rd time growing and in a new place, my main reasoning for the tent and the CFL is light leakage and HEAT..the only air that will be coming out of it is through the carbon can filter, i felt like this would be cheaper then buying a 400watt hid and having to buy both MH/HPS bulb,ballast, and air cooling...if im wrong someone please correct me i have about a week until i want to get this show on the road so all inputs are welcome! remember my grow tent will either be 2x2x4 OR 3x3x6

i got a 4x4x7 tent on amazon that works perfect for $97.00. they had smaller ones for cheaper. I use a 400w hps for veg and flower and i want to get a 1000 for my space. So i dont think a floro will cut it, t5 or not. it will work but probably not worth it in the end. I would do this;

Then take your other 220 buck and get afat sac of chronic and burn one for me.

uhh did you read my post? too bad to hear about the "time" issues you're having. Growing cannabis without being prepared makes for a headache and a half. also mediocre buds. good luck

nice setup man. i got a 400 in the mail, should get it tomorrow. and now im thinking of getting a tent, but then ill have to vent, and i can set it up like u did. lol i have a nice ac in the window also.
