im planning on getting 3x3x6 grow tent, using a 400 watt hps cool tubed with a 6in 400cfm hydrofarm fan with control, im wondering if this will be enough to cool the tent with outside temps at 80-85 degrees?
ive never used a cool tube before because i had the luxury of a/c, but i dont have that luxury now.

im planiing on growin 3-4 budding plants at a time in the tent wile vegging under a ufo in the closet.

peace.

Your in tropical temps ouch. Well my friend has a 3x3x6 like urs and runs a 400 hps in a big square air cooled setup. The cooltube would definately bring the temps down a little bit but his temps are already like 80+ with lots fans. Thats in colorado were we have a cooler dryer climate. I think the 400hps will work just dont skimp on the fan. Get a 250+cfm fan for it and you will need A/C in the room and mebe a dehumidifer prolly cuz your in tropics. Prolly can run a small like 100$ A/C unit which will act as a dehumidifier. Prolly what I would try. You will never know unless you get it set up really just expect your tent to be 7-12 degrees hotter than the room its in even with good airflow.

Best of Luck

I love cooltubes! https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/384835-swiftgrow-journal.html

A/C no doubt....... Your tent will always be hotter then the ambient temps around it, .. So if the air going into the tent is already 85 and then its getting heated up by the light its reasonable to say that the tent will be hotter and any hotter than 85 would be bad meaning you would have to have some way to cool the air that is inside the tent or cool the air before it is let into the tent.......whatever all im saying is you gotta have some way to cool it down......

I also like cooltubes and use one in the summer......in addition to a 5,000BTU airconditioner soley for a 4x4 space lol(gets 100+ in the summer here)
