I run a 4 x 4 tent and use a 6 inch filtration system (phresh) with a vortex fan. Also a 315 CMH with 4 autopots. Last round i got close to 1 pound (15 oz) with 3 plants. I love the fan and the light.

I have a 2 x 100 vero timber light that I added to my tent but it was spiking my temps and i went back to just the 315. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

As i said in my first post i have just two grows under my belt and i was out of this scene for a while. I did heard of this light bulbs, the CMH but i dont know to much about them. Watt per watt they are more efficient than regular HID lamps? Do they need special ballasts?

@Lucky Luke, i know 600W it would be much better but my balast is a dimable 150/250/400 and 400WSL(super lumen) so i would need to change all my set up that i have now. I will spend a lot on the tent, fan, filter and i cant spend so much money.

But hey, look at the attached pictures. Those are 2 LSD plants from Barney's Farm and the smaller one is a Dinafem Cheese. The biggest LSD was 1.60 meters high, sativa phenos and look what buds i had just under a 400 watter, and on top of that, the space didnt even had reflective sheets just on one side. I think in a tent i wont loose so much light and of course that i will grow smaller plants, i like indicas.

Ok so you say the filters work but do they take care of all the smell so i wont mind if someone is visiting me?

@1st unique, i will look into those LEDs right now.
You're right that a light will be more efficient in a tent with reflective walls so close all the way around.

No one about my initial questions? Filter and fan sizes, any tips please?
The air needs a minimum "linger" time which is how long it's spends in the filter so that the carbon has enough time to filter the particles out of the air.

If you use a fan that is smaller than the "perfect" match you'll get more linger time making the filter more effective and making the filter last longer. Too small of a fan compared to the filter could create too much drag on the fan so I'd either go with a filter one size up from the fan that fits your space or use a matching pair with a fan speed controller.

On the other hand, if the fan is bigger than the recommended size for the filter the air will be pulled through the filter too fast for the filter work completely.

The way my garden was set up the air came out of the garage door right next to my front door from a 10X11 foot flowering space with 4 1,000 watt lights and you could stand right next to the exhaust and not even realize it.
