Okay, so I have a friend that's willing to allow me to grow in his house. I was thinking about buying 3-4 movable lights (lamps with 3 input, blah blah.) I'm probably going to need at least, 10 cfl to make this grow efficient. Anyway, I was wondering if I used the adjustable lights, 2 large fans, what would be the amount of plants MAX. And what wattage of bulb. The area, I haven't looked at it yet, but I'm guessing it's between 4-5 ft width, and length. Probably somewhere near 8-9 ft height. I'm gunna either do a cfl grow, OR go with a sun system flo. 10,000 lumens. It's gunna run somewhere in the 200$ mark, whereas, the cfl, 10$ for each fixture(4) about 15$ per 4 pack(3) and obviously, in either case, a timer since I won't be there all the time. 130$ seems like an alright price. And please don't make any remarks about him ripping me off, I am very re-assured he will not, considering I made a deal to let him in on the harvest. Not only that, but who would steal plants that aren't flowering? Well.. ignorant mindless teenagers.. but other than that.

if money for electricity is the prob. use LED. they are they best for plants anyway.. use a blue red mix.

and use like 2 dolars a month. if that.

if you're trying to determine how to maximize your light space with the right amount of plants, there is a lighting FAQ in the main growing marijuana forum (the one with the DIY subforum) that explains how much light you can get per sq. ft. from each kind of lighting source. might help you break the numbers down to see how many plants you can get under them for best results.

Thanks alot, I'll look into that. Leds sound cool as shit.. and a bit on the cheap side as well..

I've just been informed that led lights blow for flowering.. I think I'm not gunna do that. The goal is to have a big yield on this grow.. which apparently isn't an option with led. So I'm back with cfl. Thanks for all the input. By the way, a 14w SAYS that it's equal to a 400w hps, but I don't think it's true. Otherwise, it would be great for flower.
