Grow room contamination?

O.k. so here is the plan, sinse my summer outdoor op. fellthrough due to my counterparts incompetence, I started thinking,( oh-oh) using the early bud seeds that are still on theyr way, to raise, mature and flower indoors, keep the boys to polonate, get the ton of seeds for the summer of 08 and scout, scout in the meantime...A few questions though, once I have male pollen in grow room, do I risk contaminating later crops? How long does the pollen remaines firtle? Anyway to avoid contamination? How many seeds will I get per plant? Will it change potency of the second gen seeds?

Later crops will be OK...it's the ones in the space with the pollen that will be seeded. I believe pollen will remain fertile for a few weeks under the right conditions but others who play *pollen chucker* with more frequency could possibly fill you in better/with more surity.

If you just let it fly and pollenate the room freely, you will end up with THOUSANDS of seeds....in other words...too many. Read up about just pollenating a branch or seperating a plant out from the crowd and pollenating it by itself...etc.

Potency should remain intact on successive generations (or no one would grow from seed)...but the seeded plant bud will lack a bit in what it would have been as sensi potency-wise. No worries though...you can go sensi next crop...

I wouldn't let the males freely polinate the girls, you need to select the ones with the most attractive traits. Than selectively polinate the (best) girls, other wise you'll weaken the genetics of the strain, and have a wde variety of genetics.

thank you guys, good to hear from you video, always happy to get an input from you, since all the seeds are nirvanas early big bud, I dont think the genetic variance would be that great, I only plan using 5 seeds, havent used designer seeds befoure, so I really didnt think of getting lame weak plants in the batch, is there high probability of that with nirvana seeds?

there is a high probability of that with most strains.

Ok, so to germinate all 10 seeds, pick the best looking male and than mate him with Ms.Earlybud 07 and a runner up while trying togrow the rest of the crop as sensy is better idea...But it could get messy...I am also getting early misty, thinking of crossing it with E.Bud...And oh yeah I realy dont mind getting thousands of seeds, I'm planing a massive ofensive in the spring-summer08.Well thousand might be a bit much...
