I once wired up some PC fans, but they were blowing IN and not out. I then made an extensive half a days search on how to re wire fans to get the air blowing out, rather than in...

Turns out you just have to flip the bloody fans the other way... biggest fail of my growing career... ;_;

And on top of that, I checked the fans AFTER I glued the mylar and screwed the fans in place... had to take apart the whole PC case in order to flip the fans.
Same feeling NASA had about designing pens to work in space! Spent millions on developing that.
Russia told NASA - We just sent pencils!

I like to smoke in my flower room, and I wear a hat and sunglasses. I have tripped over power cords a few times and banged the shit out of my forehead a few times on light reflectors. I'm like Cosmo Kramer in there sometimes fallin down and shit.

Turns out, funny story, that's not actually how it happened. http://www.snopes.com/business/genius/spacepen.asp

'The "space pen" that has since become famous through its use by astronauts was developed independently by Paul C. Fisher of the Fisher Pen Co., who spent his own money on the project and, once he perfected his AG-7 "Anti-Gravity" Space Pen, offered it to NASA. After that agency tested and approved the pen's suitability for use in space flights, they purchased a number of the instruments from Fisher for a modest price.'

The USA and USSR both used pencils at first but they weren't ideal because bits of pencil lead flake off and get in very sensitive instruments, not an ideal situation on a spacecraft.

Put hot water in bottom pan and waited for it to stop boiling. It was "about" done so I took it inside n set it on the gas stove. Opened the window and as I turned around... Boom! Thought I was going to jail that day. Neighbor was outside. Had a room full of plants. I went right to window for fresh air and she said "want me to call 911". I replied, no I just burned bacon.... She cocked her head in disbelief. Thank god I had a fire extinguishers for both accidents or id be in the federal penitentiary right now.

The other was a small fire from house wired on a few breakers only. Knob n tube in blow insulation....

I now run new separate wiring and breakers for everything in my room.
