Ok, so here is my feeble attempt at breaking down my hood and making it so that I’m hanging my light vertical in my tent (based on a current grow by InsaneMJ) which from what I have been reading allows for you to get more use out of your light. This is going to be a test because I’m not sure if I have to buy a special bulb for vertical growing.

Did you drop the light more from the first picture to the second one? And be sure to turn your plants once a week atleast!

looks good manish, I'm no vert guy but does the heat burn the plants? i mean its like a good 6 inches away no?

So far the heat hasn't become a problem. I'm checking on it every hour just to track it, and yes the bulb is about 6-7" from the plants. So far so good.

I think it looks great man. I can almost say with 99% certainty you'll yield at least 25% more then what you woulda before.

The bulbs will have a code near base that states whether it can be mounted vertical or not.. Looking good

To me it looks like you were getting better light concentration on the plants with the hood.
