If i use a black gold, ffof, perlite along with emerald harvest cali pro grow &bloom plus all additives should i look to add any other mixes? Im going to run a fem photo and i would like to have a good healthy mix. Im looking to get the best quality i can and i know my medium needs to be on point. Im new to mixing soils so any info is appreciated. Oh and im confused because i understand some soil mixes have to cook. I would like to use a simple that i dont have to cook... Thanks for the help

Don't worry for a second about mixing soils right now. Stick to the basics for now. Don't worry, you will end up with great results, even if you're keeping it simple.

I use Black Gold for my mother plants. Works great, and it's not expensive. But, all soil will need to be fertilized fairly quickly, and the nutrients used to do that will have greater impact than the soil itself.

I used Happy Frog a few years ago, but that was only for a partial grow. That, and the Black Gold for my mum's, are the only times I've used soil. I don't really have any experience mixing. The Black Gold has lots of perlite in it.
