Dear God, do some reading on your own. You don't have the first clue about growing tomatoes, let alone Cannabis. Do yourself a favor and learn something by READING, there is a plethora of information out there if you just look.

Hey just wondering if I can use these lights to grow just 1 plant? Thx
Yeah they would have to be, just about the worst type of light you could select.
I'm afraid it's one thing you need to $$$ on. If you want to start out cheap use cfl's or
Fluro's

But honestly your better saving some dollars for HID lighting.

check into the "best deals thread" posted in this sub-forum, theres good shit in there.

I amazon.com almost all my stuff now. Can get a 125w CFL for veg for like 30-40 bucks, and 250-400w HiD light for around a hundred. (Make note with the CFL, it will veg slower and less vigorously, and its prolly gonna cost 40-50 bucks for a flowing CFL bulb alone, compared to the cheap veg light w/ fixture.)

Personally I recommend a few large but not quite mogul socket large CFL bulbs in simple clamp reflectors for seedlings n clones n such.... highest actual wattage CFL you can find at the hardware store that fits into a reg bulb socket, in the 55-6500k color range.

Follow with a 250 or 400w HiD setup. (like this http://www.amazon.com/Ulti-lumenx-Pressure-Sodium-Electronic-Digital/dp/B00K2DTLN2 ) $120 or ( http://www.amazon.com/Apollo-Horticulture-GLK400GW19-Digital-Dimmable/dp/B004YXDHX6 ) 126ish...

The choice in your light should be decided on your available space, and heat/airflow restrictions.

I personally am a fan of iPower grow sets, but mostly cuz they are cheap, and the bulbs are still nice.

Dont be fooled into thinking more light = more bud, its not always true... I got 2 600's and a 400 going in my flower room, and the scrawny cfl-only veg'd plant that went under the 400 is making the other 2 look foolish... the other 2 got real big n stretchy n shit sure.... the 400 exploded into a screen full of cola's.... (just hit the halfway point, gettin excited, first scrog grow attempt)

What size space do you want to illuminate ? Definitely go for HID or perhaps LED. It's not just the lights, you need carbon filter, inline fan, insulated ducting, fan speed controller, timer, pots, soil, seeds etc, etc .... You'll need to spend some money but its an investment. My grow room cost about $1000AUD to set up and that's not considering the cost of electricity. Make a decision to do it properly or don't do it at all.

ebay.com.au is a good place to start looking for equipment for us Aussies.
thinking about my cupboard haha. ive got 1 plant outside right now doing ok i guess. im just considering going to indoors as its winter. the weather isnt too bad tho - 21 degrees celcius with 80% humidity. humidity is meant to drop a little bit over the coming week though

ok so heres my situation. right now there is no sunlight and its cloudy as hell, my plant is outdoors not getting any light at all. would it make any difference bringing it indoors and sitting it under those lights or just leave it outside where there is no sunlight at all, and if i should bring it in overnight
