Grow cabinet air exhaust to attic

Hello growers i have a question on my grow cabinet exhaust. I would like to hear your opinion on whats best. Okay so im planning to air cool my grow light with 530 cfm and have another exhaust with 175cfm exhausting my cabinet air. I would be pulling air from my outside the cabinet 50% Humidity to cool my light with it then exhaust to the attic. So i want to know is it better to exhaust the both fan air straight into the attic or exhaust in the attic bathroom vent and drill holes on it and let it not mix with the attic air. But the problem is in order to reach the bathroom vent there will be some bends and some feet in ducting.thanks!

yes odor is no problem my concern is mold. i also for got to say that there is one open vent on attic roof with no fan.

530cfm is pretty chunky. Should be able to put some decent length on the ducting and hit some hairpin turns while you're at it!

Anyway to throw like a 4" scrubber on the 175cfm?

I agree. 530 CFM seems like alot for a cabinet grow. Unless you have a 7'X8'X10' cabinet.

What size is your cabinet?

Umm not really, once you calculate length of duct, bends, whether or not it's hooked up to a cooltube, vented hood, carbon filter, it can really wear down on the CFM rating. I use a 400CFM for a 5'x2'x3' cab and I wouldnt go less...

im useing a exhasut fan built for bathrooms i bought it at lowes hardware for only 40 bucks ! i belive it said on it 110 cfm its enough for me to vent it to the roof in my house. Keeps the temps at 80 to 76*

A room that small shouldn't generate enough water vapor to the attic to cause any mold issues. That fan is probably too small to cool the box. Exhaust to the attic only. If you tie into a vent through the roof, it will generate steam in the winter. Big red flag, not to mention what it looks like to an infrared camera.

You could do what I am doing and run the system in reverse.. I mean I pull cold air in from my loft (attic) down a length of ducting and then vent out through a carbon filter into my room, with an oscilating fan to spread the expelled air out the room and around the house.. that way there's no room for mould, no room for heat signatures such as steam etc and in winter not to much need for heating :) .. food for thought but it works for me :) - STELTHY
