GROW BOX QUESTIONS (im lost)

okay I have four fluoro tube lights (well 2 but they ea. hold 2 bulbs) and they are 4ft long. I would like to construct a grow box for these lights.

(already have room set up for flowering)

what I would like to know is...

if I want to do 12 plants how big should i build this thing?? Im thinkin 5ft long 2 1/2ft wide and how tall do you think?? the lights would only take four inches from the top so....

If the plants double in size after veg, I wouldnt want them to be more than 2ft in the box

someone help me out!! also whats the "average" size you all would stop veg and trans to flower??

If this is your first grow, I recommend using CFL's - get a few 42watt CFLs and stary growing 2-3 plants... you will grow the plant until it has 4-8 nodes and then you will flower (switch the lighting to 12/12)

yes you can but i personally don't think the results are as good

I would put my plants UNDER the light. I would NOT recommend this LoL.. How many watts? Are you talking about cfl's?

S'up everyone, im a first time grower. I have some ?'s. Should you do 18/6 lighting first or 12/12 first when they are first coming out of the dirt? What kind of lighting should i use? How often should i water them?

18 + hours of light FIRST(vegetative stage),,, then 12/12... (flowering stage)


If yo want the plant to produce BUDS.. it must have 12 hours of uninterupted darkness every 24 hours..!! don't let light get to your plant.....

if you read it properly you would see that i have mentioned that I already have a room set up for flowering so no I wont try to use fluoros for flowering

I had a very small harvest with loose buds when I used floros. I would not recommend it.
