Grow box help!!!!

Hi rollitup community,

I have 4ft tall x 1.5ft wide x 1.5ft deep wooden box, would it be possible to grow a plant in that space?

Ya, Ya. With some cfls right on top of it and tying down the plant with LST is can/has been done. Don't use a regualar pot, they are too tall. Get a wide one like the top cutt off a milk jug.

Possible but worth it? Not to me but may be worth it to you if its all you have to work with. Good luck

yes my dimensions are very similar to the ones you have listed.... if you need any advice message me directly,i come from an electrical background,so i know a good amount of info

ya its my first attempt at growing and its the only way I could ever do it given my situation.

Yes, It will take up more width. If you vegg a plant too long it will fill up any space. Switch it to 12/12 when it is 6-8 inches tall with a couple of fan leaves. Punch some holes in the milk jug and continually adjust and tie down. You'll be able to manage it, I'm sure. It took my 4 grows before my first one was successful and I got 1/4 oz off a plant in a pc box. You can grow as small or as big as you like.

Your plant can't grow out the sides of the walls but it will reach the lights and burn. LST or putting a wire net (ScROG) over it works great for small spaces. I'm doing some LST on some clones that I put in 12/12 before they were quite rooted. They are miniature plants now. See signature.

sweet setup bro! if I flip to 12/12 after about 8 inches how far above would i have the screen roughly, and is there anything particular you have to do or will it just sort of even the canopy itself when it hits the ScROG?

The stretch of the plants above the screen depends on strain and what cycle it is in (flower or veg) when the net is full

There is no point switching a plant to 12/12 until its mature (aprrox 30 days old) Figure on a plant stretching double. (could be less could be more)

That's plenty of room to grow a plant. I would go with a single diy high power cob led and a dimmable driver. An ounce or two isnt out of the question if you can hit a gram per watt.

Scrog or mainlining would be some good training methods to fill the canopy and keep it even. The average thought on stretch is triple the start size. High intensity lighting and using more blue spectrum can minimize stretch as well. Every plant and strain will be different but you'll learn quickly what works I'm sure.
