Grow Bags in Cat Tails?

hey guys i'm thinking about putting some clones out in grow bags. These grow bags are gonna go in a patch of cattails near a marsh/pond where the ground is always damp/sometimes under an inch or two of water.

Am i right in thinking that the soil in the bags will wick up the water and water itself? these bags I'm using are a foot and a half tall or so, so I don't think that the plants would drown. I'm thinking that this sloppy muddy ground would kind of act like a reservoir to a hempy bucket, and would keep the soil moist. I'm using an outdoor purple indica that I know won't outgrow the cattails so I think it will work out pretty good.

I think you may be able to make it work. Maybe perlite the bottom 1/3 of the bag? I would be concerned with the high humidity causing bud rot etc towards the end.

I think they would be too wet too often. It certainly would dry up at the summer passed by. I would suggest some location CLOSe to the cat tails where you can visit & water directly from the pond/swamp but the plant would be kept on dryer land.

Good luck though. Hope it works out for you.

I think your idea of looking for a cover is a good idea , but besides all the humidity issues i want to remind you that tword harvest those cat tails are going to be brown and dead, and if you know what your doing your plants will be large and lushous green lol so if your trying to hide them thats out of the question i suggest any open space with golden rod or maybe pricker bushes that stay green well into the fall season. Thats the only advice i think i can give.

plenty of info online about planting in swamps/bogs.

camo netting is a good idea if u want to keep plants hidden from prying eyes from above and ground level

If its only a couple inches of water put a pot under it or something to raise it so it doesn't stay wet. Here's a list of mould resistant strains

Green house seeds A.M.S
Green house seeds The Church

Dutch passions frisian dew
Reefermans early purple kush
Sensi seeds durban poison
Sensi seeds hollands hope
Most half hazes work great.
