With as many testers as Greenpoint send out where are all the grow journals? I found one on ICMag and it stopped bc of hermies. Is everyone having issues for intersex plants on his Monster Cookies? I am 2.5 weeks in w/ his GG4xMC and look everyday for nanners.

So- is anyone having luck w/ these beans or what?

I just planted 10 of the Grape Gush X MC and im waiting to see the germ rates. Now that I have been searching around the net a bit I am becoming a bit anxious about growing these with all the talk of the MC crosses herming. Sure, I want a shot at something special.. but I am considering just dropping the root cubes in the trash and going with something more proven, Dynasty's Crater Lake V5. Anyone else on these forums have anything to share about their experiences with the MC crosses? I didnt realize I was actually paying for testers, but thats shame on me.

I got 2 gorillagrapegush x monster cookies and 3 kosher alienz x monster cookies about 2 weeks in and no bananas either I been on the look out, like every 4 days I check each plant, actually both strains are looking great so far, I collected pollen on both of these strains, i might make f2 well see
Yeah I'm making f2s as well, I already collected pollen from an OG leaning male that reeeeked and I am collecting pollen from a really early flowering/monster male of the bb3 cross as we speak

That's entirely possible considering he was sending multiple packs of seeds to people that only paid for 1 or 2. I got 7 extra packs of seeds on top of the 2 that I paid for. $50 = 9 packs of seed for me. Much lol right? Stupid fuckers paying for testers.

Yes, much lol. Charging *anything* for testers is bad form. The time and space in your garden and the documentation of the grow is the only form of payment there should be

I don't understand what you're saying. The tester word? Are you saying that other breeders charge for testers?
Are you that naive? You think everything is tested before hitting the market? So yeah other breeders are charging for testers. At least Gu admits what they are and charges accordingly.

People see the word tester,as if it's the end all,be all of selling seeds, and in the same breath, will say " oh,this breeder knows his shit,". So no real need for test grows...

I see seeds all the time being sold, and tested at the same time...

What I'm saying is,testing is just a word..

If I buy a pack of tested seeds,I'm still testing them when I grow them in my room...right?

I mean, what really is one looking for, from poly hybrids?

All gu did was play on that word "tester"....and the demand for the"me first" consumers..

Ok, but say for example his monster cookie crosses. Reports of hermies popping up now. Shouldn't those be tested first, even if that's just him and a few if his homies throwing down 30 seeds a piece and checking for those types of issues?

Call them out. Lets hear some names.
Right off the top of my head of big names, Rare D and Cali Connection ring a bell. You think RD tested all those strains they dropped so fast a couple of years ago? No way CC is doing quality control. How about you list all the breeders that test everything. Or is Gu the only one you can think of that doesn't because he admits what he's selling? What about so called tested strains that have herm reports that have popped everywhere before? Uh, weren't they tested before hitting the market? You've never gotten herms or garbage from beans you thought were tested? If you've ran a decent number of strains, chances are you've paid full for ones that weren't tested. Just out of curiosity, how long have you been growing and how many strains have you ran personally?

So you're putting Greenpoint in the same category as Cali Connection? Good to know.

I have gotten exactly one genetic hermie in my time growing, which has been more than 10 years, and too many strains to count.

Maybe I've just been lucky, or maybe I don't make a habit out of buying seeds from amateur hour companies. Probably just luck
