A. Greenpoint has not been reputable since Heisen joined the team.

B. I would not put any faith into any answer you get back regarding HVLD testing. They don’t even test their seeds before selling them nationwide, so do you really think they’re testing the clones?

Someone’s already done the hunt with clones. In hundreds of plants and varieties over many years I’ve found two plants from seed I’d consider keepers. I’ll let you do the math.

Thanks for replying, I believe you. I thought about quitting growing after my plants are done. I’ve grown from seed for ten years. I learned a lot and enjoyed the experience but potency wasn’t there. When I started growing I thought I’d be getting high from my plants but that wasn’t the case. It seems like a waste of time and money if you really want high.
I live in the Midwest where cannabis culture is strictly “ghetto people” selling schwag (years ago) and Hydro. Now the state legalized it and that shit is the WORST! I bought it once or twice a year and it was always terrible. I didn’t even get high. It’s like a scam ( 30% thcA ). I’m never going back. It really just pisses you off. I’ve smoked weed for 30 years I just can’t believe how it is.

I feel you. I've grown plenty of potent plants from seed, but it's a question of do I build a tolerance to it quickly? Most things seem like after a few days the buzz is just bland. A real keeper is the jar you keep reaching for.

Kind of venting about it all. Wasn’t trying to be a bummer. It feels like I‘m the ONLY person that smokes weed . Plus the government saying ”black market” is wrong seems racist.

That's crazy to me...although I've never run clones myself; as it's still not legal to grow here so I don't go year round....but in limited experience I've definitely found keepers from seed....meanwhile a lot of clone onlys nowadays have disappointed me....and I can't even remember the last time I was put into what I call the "matrix" mode....where everything slows the fuck down; you have very little control of your body and your head highs so intense it's ridiculous.....the Jilly Bean F2 I grew was borderline trippy; vibrant colors outside and shit.....none of these big name clone onlys have done that to me....but some bud grown by some random motherfucker in the hood has lol....I don't know if it's the dilution of genetics going around or what....I find strains I like but I don't consider any of them really to be top notch potency....but in the early 2000s I was finding matrix mode shit every week from random ppl I'd come across if I did some searching....now I search and yes there's some potent stuff but not THAT potent....most of it is tops a 2 hour high....2 and a half if you're lucky....for instance the jilly Bean f2 was keeping me stoned as fuck for 4 to 5 hours.....granted that was the best I've grown so far myself....but that's about the length of the matrix mode stuff I used to find all the time (it wasn't always the same strain; multiple strains used to do this - and not just to me - to everybody who smoked them)

I've found plenty that have had a strong potency, but it's more rare to find strong potency plus a flavor and burn that truly satisfies in the long term... or maybe I've just had questionable luck. Who can say? Either way, hunting seeds is probably the most engaging aspect of growing for me and I'm happy that you have done well with it so far.
