Normally I would top them but the tops have seeds and I dont want to lose them lol
I am very different. I never top after flower starts. My last top happens one week before flower never more. Try my suggestion. I am still hps so I gotta stay a 1 foot away from light or burn. led has a future for me but Ia m slow to change on what works kinda dude. I guess you being led just let those suckers grow into the led light lol...I wouldn't but I am old school kinda professional hippy kinda dude.

The heat factor is still present with LED but a lot less of a worry. The temps in my tent this round were a little hotter than normal due to losing an inside clip fan to blow some air around during the flip/early flower stage. I ended up liking LED more than HPS for a bunch of reasons. Mainly electrical cost and the full spectrum light LED can produce is really efficient. Plus tent temps are far more manageable. I also grow 12/12 from seed, I know its a factor in the whole plant cycle.

When you went to LED did you buy same watts or different? Just learning the change concept. Let's say a 400 watt hps small grow should buy what led? How did you decide? How about venting heat and smell out the room?

I started off trying LED in a 2x4 tent at 300 watt and was sold on its performance. Between two tents I have a total of 900w. 2-300w in a 4x4 tent and the 2x4 is 300w. For a 4x4 two 300w lights are plenty of light. So all in all I'm 100w under a single 1k HPS bulb split two way.

I grew out CakeNChem. Everyone liked it but that was 2 years ago. I dont believe Gu has the same Stardawg male any more, no matter what he claims.
I made a lot of nice crosses with a tasty CakeNChem male a few years ago. Might have to bump the Chucker's Paradise thread soon. Stardawg is AWESOME too, will be doing F4s maybe spring.

I made a cross with Raindance x Tomahawk i call it Dancing Hawk.
What's that like? I loved Tomahawk but it's been a little while now. Not familiar with Raindance.

Anyway, Greenpoint has everything on reverse auction this week. I don't really need seeds but might grab an auto or two just to try out. Only auto I ever messed with was like 10 years ago, and it was okay but not stellar.

Just entering the final couple of weeks with a few Sundance Kids so that's good to read...
nice. can you provide a review of cured smoke for best and why?
Out of the two that I ended up keeping, one of them was fairly generically stardawg-ish in flavor, perhaps a touch weak. The other one was a nice gassy, strongly stardawg-ish but with a touch of the sunset sherbet in the flavor. Smooth smoke, ash maybe just a touch dark. Overall, pleasant, but not long-term keepers. Fun to grow and nice and healthy in the classic Greenpoint expression. Yield was good for both.

I soaked the seeds, need to wait.

Can you give the top 3 of this group? What you like about it? That is from a grower side.thanks
copperchem
garlix
raindance
beautiful reps of both stardawg and their own genetics, copperchem is such a great plant easy to grown and gets big buds, smoke is very couch lock but buds fade fast due to chem 4 gos yellow and bland
garlix, rezdogs sour d x chem d x stardawg, beautiful plant ,great smoke and found numerous keepers, anything with chem dd in it has serious phenos
raindance, found a chem 91 leaner, stunk so bad would make eyes water, super strong effects still have over half pack still to go thru, definately keepers to be found.
i think every pack from the wild west series has keepers,Gu did excellent work with the stardawg male

Question for you. I am looking at buying from Greenpoint or JJTopDawg and can't decide? I had a plant many moons ago that blew me away with Chem. Deisel. banana kush and dawg traits. I can't find now doing several breeders with these strains anything close.? So Ive narrowed these two for next go round. They both have these strains. I haven't tried the cookie thypes so I may throw a pack in the buy. I am not new at this and have lots of experience now. I am shying away from the new hot breeders just now popular in the last 5 yrs. Your experience would be helpful. thanks.
Greenpoint has a Banana OG x Stardawg cross called Texas Butter. Might be right up your alley.

(WOW. So wierd. The web-preview text is what the original writer had put in the description (WAY wrong), but if you click through and see the page, it is accurate now.)

I grew some Texas butter, but just ended up with a beefy male. I collected pollen and definitely spread the love.

Here is the lone picture that I have of a Dream Catcher just before harvest. I wish I had more pics, as it was a really big and colorful plant. The tomato cage is 54 inches high so I am pretty sure that this plant was about 4 foot of colas from top to bottom. I cant remember the yield but it was over 20 ounces for sure, this pic really shows only about the top 3/5 of this plant. Really dense flowers for a BD cross. This DreamCatcher colored up pretty fast. At about 5 weeks in I was pretty sure that this plant was going to go full purple on me. It didn't, the pink and maroons stayed throughout. Again really top notch bag appeal.

Another cross from GPS that you all should run if you have room and time!

Do you know if this was made with the clone only blue dream?
