greenhouse vs shed

So a friend and I are planning on setting up a grow we're debating whether buying a greenhouse with all the proper ventilation of course or getting a shed and trying to make a garage door opener for the rooftop.

My questions are for u ghouse guys how do u harvest in the middle of the summer with 16-18hrs of sunlight. Do you just push bloom or let it veg or tarp it and try to keep it on a 12hr schedule.

Have any of you guys who tried tarping it have any hermie issues from light penetrating.

Growing conditions are san diego weather i can grow all yr round here. we just want to be able to put down harvest all yr round, use as much sun as possible to minimize expenses.

Got a grower friend who double harvests in summer. Pulls light proof poly over his greenhouse frame every night after 12 hrs of light. What a PIA though.

If you plant clones in April, they will try to bloom and re-veg. Seeds in Ap is good.. I shoot for planting in early June from clone.
1lb plants that stay about waist high.

in Nor-cal, many plants will finish in the middle of August if there is plenty of shade.. smaller plants though, get a dense strain to compensate. I had a plant with the full nor-Cal sun-arc that did not start until the end of September, almost rotted going into late Nov.

shoot for at least 6 hours of direct sun in the summer, anything less will have early flowers and prob not as good as the mid-October fest, stuffs. :weed:
