Green Slime on Soil

So I'm doing my first grow and I notice this green slime developing on the top of my soil. I tried googling but nothing had pics. So what is it and what do I do about it?

Me personally, I would get that thing in some fresh soil and dispose of that stuff. I can see that stuff doing bad things to that little plant, not sure what, but more than likely bad.

That looks to me might b some green slime alge from the soil being to moist which coulda came from the bark b in there..or the light being on n the top soil bein really wet. I thoughtbit was moss at first but I think its algae. Id let it dry out a little scrap the top dressing b of aftrr. N then either replant it. Or watering less but u must b soaking it forbit to grow like that

well i can tell you 100% im not soaking it. in fact i'm underwatering. it's a 500mL water bottle but in half, but i only water half a shot glass of water day. i use so little water that none drips out of the bottom.

where did you get the soil from. was it outsidr un a garden where ut could have had prior contami.ation w a algae or moss. usuy green alga is a type of cyanobacteria I believe so its totly possible. id go buy a 1 gallon pot n a bag of happy frog n replant it. or some pro mix.

If your soil starts to get the slightest color of green thats an indication your starting to possibly grow Algae.

it's like a $5 bag from home depot. i think i might just scoop it out continually, tho.

go n buy a bag from the grow shop of happy frog. you dont wanna deal w problems. work smart not hard my man. less problems with your ladies is a must that shit can take over.
