when i first started makin green dragon i baked it at 300 degrees (killing off active ingredients) for 5-10 mins to decarb it and it turned out great

but then your losing other active ingredients that change your high (stoned vs high feeling)

i havent exactly figured out a good time for decarbing at lower temps for the method that doesnt kill active ingredients, but 45-60 mins seems like a safe bet to make sure its completely decarbed at 230 degrees, ill try that next time

also taking account that my origional recipe was for when its decarbed at 300 degrees so my numbers (1 fl oz of 80% alcohol per half a gram of bud) should be changed to take into account the other active ingredients being dissolved into the alcohol so im gunna try doubling the amount of alcohol i use next time also to assure im not losing any thc

dude i hope that last bit is wrong cuz i have been doing 0.8 gram per oz of 95% alcohol

like i use 10 grams per 12 oz bottle of everclear. hope im not wasting weed i actully got 10 grams decarbing in the oven right now about to make my batch for my wednesday meditation party :bigjoint:

but ya i agree with you i was gettin messed up off the dragon even when I was decarbing at 300 deg f

then the day i found out i might be vaporizing active ingridiants i did the decarb test at 230 for 1 hour and we made the dragon and took it and we got slammed so hard

the main reason we got so messed up is our tolerence was way high from doing dragon at a 300 deg decab so when we got the stuff we were missing when i decarbed at 240 we got slammed

however after many days making it like this at 240 f we also got high tolerence for the missing stuff too

now I try to wait a week in between doseing or my tolerence gets way too hi

i like to do it 2 times a week tho, its the shit

but ya can anyone confirm how much active ingridiants can be absorbed by the alcohol before it becomes fully saturated?

actually after thinking about it if you take the green dragon a full bottle and let it evaporte it will eventually trun into gummy water then get more gooey but even then it will all be there in the liquid like when people make hash with rubbing alcohol no?

what do you guys think?

yeah its called iso hash
and yeah if you let the everclear evaperate then yes it will get stronger and thicker like iso

so theoretically if i mix 10 grams of grinded buds in 12 ozs of everclear then mix well and then strain the weed out then i should get all the acive ingrediants in the 12 shots of everclear right?

everclear strips off plant sugars and stuff too making it a not so ideal solvent for hash since the final product is very impure. what you get is a dark dark dark green/brown goo that sticks to everything and since there is so much other crap in the goo it turns out to be not very potent. makes yer joints burn too damn fast and its too hard to vape as well =p
