great white vs. myco's from extreme gardining check out the results!!

So I've heard over and over how great white is the perfect thing for my plants roots. The guy at my local hydro shop swears by it and threw in a bottle in with my 2k shopping trip. He doesnt carry mycos so I had to get it some where else. I have used myco's for the past 3-4 years, but the hydro guy told me great white is way better......here are my results!!

All root balls are the same strain, and seeds from the same bud, grown the same way , same water, same nutes, only difference was the GW and myco's.

the first pic is the control. nothing was added to this except the normal feeding npk, micro and b vit.

this is the great white. also normal feeding npk, micro and b vit. The roots were weak and small. it was alot better than nothing but not a very complex root system at all. the soil fell away from the stalk and roots when I picked it up.

This is myco's. a very complex root ball. I had to rip the roots apart to get the soil off the roots for the pics. The stalks were bigger and wider. Upon close inspection, there were millions of microscopic root hairs off the main roots. nothing like what I see from GW with only main roots and hardly any lateral roots. I hope this helps some one decide what to use as far as beneficial fungus goes.

Big difference the onl u thing I woukd suggest is use clones so its the same pheno etc. As it would then me as equal as possible

in a tea from time to time as well.

8oz of great white here in the uk is £65.

8oz is around 200g right?

I use Royal Horticultural Society Root Grow mycor and for 150g its £4.99.

I used to use great white for over a year. I just made the switch to extreme engineering brand of mykos. mainly due to the price. 20.00 for a small ass bottle of great white, or 25.00 for a 2.2lb bag. do the math. I don't like the granules tho. I liked the powder. we'll see how the ext eng brand does

yeah im not sure the granuals would would work in my tea but I dont know.

The root grow I use is granules.

Works great in coco, couple of scoops per plant. One bag inoculates 4 plants at seed planting, transplant to 6.5L and transplant to 11L.

granules are not a bit deal. they break down over a short time of being wet. I use it for my outdoor teas just fine, plants love it!! I could have used clones, but with numbers, seeds of the same strain will qualify as conclusive for me. I grew about 15-16 with GW and 15-16 with mycos. every single root system that I used mycos on, was a tangled mess by harvest, 60-65 days from seed (should have mentioned they were autos) when I start regular seeds that are going to be 4-6 months old by harvest the benefit it still just the same and will actually cut down on the frequencies of feeding.

This is from earth juice mycorrhiza 8 bucks for a lifetime use. Use a fuzzy under a quarter teaspoon. Just sprinkle a little on the roots or in the pot when transplanting.

what does lifetime use mean.
A single applcation at transplant?
that is a solid mass. How long was it in that pot?
I would guess 10 weeks or so

nice!! how old and how big was the plant? Ive never seen earth juice mycos??? maybe try a side by side with that next. I think the 60 day test is really good cause it shows how fast it works.

Life time use means for 8 bucks u get 1 pound of the special sweetness. And u use less then a quarter teaspoon per plant on the transplant. I'm not that great at math but the one pound plastic container goes a long long ways. And yes maybe 11 weeks I think.

lol indica is 6yrs old and sative is going on 12. had them both since they were about 8weeks old. sativa is the grumpy old bitch always fighting with indica, both females....

EJ mycos might last me 1-2 transplanting's.... about 1 month!! lol

I was thinking about ordering the sample pack from xtreme gardening, it is "free" but after shipping and handling it is like $15, and comes with a little sample of each thing they carry. Is it worth it for the variety or should I just get a big bag of the Mykos? Also, know if the Mykos WP is worth the extra cost vs the regular?

P.S. Those dogs are adorable

?? not sure about the wp?? I only used it a few times and that was 2-3 years ago. I do know the azos is doing good for my friend who I turned onto extreme gard. products. he only feeds once every 2 weeks. did you read there cover page for mycos?? http://www.xtreme-gardening.com/products/mykos it has broke 7 world records...

Thanks SIP! My local grow store carries the Xtreme Mykos so I grabbed a bag and will be trying it this season in place of the Great White. Xtreme has another product called Azos with some type of beneficial microbes, anybody use this with the Myko? Not really sure what this product is all about. I'm going to be running AACTs and wondering if this would be a good thing to add in.
