Kinda sucks you didn't get a male to make more seeds, but I wouldn't complain!
I know. I was going to make some more seeds but I still have 4 more Grape Stomper xOG seeds left, so next time I will hopefully be able to make some more seeds.

Day 7 -Sad Day
Well today I got a little more time with my plants. I took each one out and gave them a good look over. Apparently some of the branches from adjacent plants were getting entangled with the plants next to them. I may have celebrated a little too much on 4-20. I guess I came to the definitive conclusion that all were females a little to quick and got a little to excited. Now that the pistils are really showing and I took each plant out individually and gave them a good look over I can say that only 3 are female. This is my first time sexing plants and I have learned a lot from this experience. I was much too hasty in my original guesswork and I feel like such an idiot for believing so indefinitely in my decision of them all being female. I realize this is just a small mistake but I felt so good knowing they were all females but now knowing that only three are makes me disappointed in my skills. Other than this small dilemma I am quite satisfied in my plants. The two that were looking best however are the ones I am pretty sure are male.

Here are a couple pics, very blurry albeit, of the ones I now think are male. You can somewhat see the balls in the first two pics and the last one is the whole plant outside of the room to see the size of it.

Day 7 -cont
So I went to take another peek and get some closer looks and I want to say those other two are males. No pistils whatsoever and balls everywhere. I don't think I'm going to be able to keep the males alive because the room I was going to keep them in has no light. The light for that room is broke so I will be keeping them alive under cfl until I can kill them. I really don't want to but I have to. I acidently changed the setting on my camera so these pictures are going to be quite large but now you can see the room as it is, no boys allowed. I might do some light lst so it gets the canopy a little more even. With not so many plants the light is able to better penetrate the canopy also so I wonder if these girls will do better than they would had there been five. I'm really looking for 3oz from each plant, hope I can get it.

Well that certainly isn't the end of the world. It isn't too hard to keep a male for pollen. Here's what I do: leave the male for another week or so in the flower room but remove all branches except the main cola, then move it to another room under a cfl or 2 for another week until the sacks start to open. I pluck them just before they are about to open, mash them up a bit in a jar to tease out the pollen, then apply with a paintbrush to selected buds.

So if you have another room and a single cfl you could definitely do it. But if you have more seeds you can always wait and try again when you are ready.

Don't forget to keep us updated on the Blue Himalaya! Thanks.

Also don't get down on yourself man, shit happens, no harm done and you figured it out. I hope you aren't disappointed if you get less than three O's per though.

They look great.

Don't let it get ya down too much bro, my last run I started out with 8 DeadHead OG's and 7 Tahoe OG's, ended up with 1 DH & 2 Tahoe females!! Thats the gamble when using regs though eh, learn from it and move on at least next time you'll know what to look for better. Males tend to show sex first too, and at least now you have the room to supercrop to fill in and even out the canopy, make the most yeild wise on what you've got left mate.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. I'll get some pics of the Blue him tonight, it's filling out nicely and I like the smell quite a bit, not overwhelming but sweet. I'm going to also do some supercropping again tonight, I read that they should be fine to supercrop untill the 2nd to third week in flower. I will do this another few times to maximize the space I have to use and hopefully get a great yield. As for pollinating I'm still debating whether or not to do it. We'll see.

Sounds good, I'll do one more round of supercropping tonight and will plan on doing them once more on day 14, after that I will let them go wild. Also the blue him was scheduled to be done on the 26th of this month but I think now we are looking at about another week before it's done. Also now that I only have three plants to work with I will probably start lst also in the next few days.

Day 8
I know I just updated but I wanted to get some good shots of the Blue Himalaya and also show some of the GSOG that I just supercropped again. I will be feeding them again in the morning this time I will hit them with 50/50 grow bloom at about 1000ppm no molasses. I will probably not be posting pictures for a few days as I have a lot going on over the weekend and need not get sidetracked. I think with only three GSOG in the room they are getting more light over all and they look a little healthier because of this. The males sadly did get chopped because I will most likely have more time next time I grow and will be able to make better use of my males because I'm considering starting another room dedicated to veg and having this one for flower. That way I can get into a perpetual grow pattern.

The Blue himalaya has been a nice auto overall. I haven't needed to feed it many nutes and found it was quite easy to give it too many nutes. I've been watering it about everyother day and it's living in a coke 2 liter hempy I made for it. It is filling out quite nicely now and is at somehwere around 75/25 cloudy to clear. I want to try and harvest at around 100% cloudy. That will hopefully be in about a week because I'm getting anxious to try it. Right now I'm smoking some snowryder I grew from the same people Short Stuff seeds and it certainly gets the job done. I do enjoy the seed Short Stuff has and will be growing more from them in the future. For now though, I will not be doing any autos and want to broaden my horizon and try something new. I do have 10 super cali haze from them and look forward to growing it sometime later this year.

Heres some pictures.

Well the Blue him is about ready to chop. I flushed it tonight and will harvest it in two days. I will post pics of that process. I usually flushed 48 hours in advanced when running dwc but with hempy I'm not sure how far in advanced I should have flushed. Either way I will let it properly cure to get out any bad tastes from the nutes. The plant wasn't nearly as big as I had thought it would get, it is about 7 inches tall. Other than that it is at about 100% cloudy with a few clear and few amber here and there so I feel it will be good to chop in about a day.

Heh, just realized I put this journal in the wrong area. That kinda sucks, I'm guessing there is no way to move it to the main journal directory.

Good call. Did that and hope to get some more views up on this. I don't see a lot dyna-gro grows or hempy grows so I hope that more people get to see this and are able to ask me questions regarding those things. Also update tonight, I haven't had much time with the girls due to finals but I hope to be able to hang out with them for a while tonight, snap some sexy photos of them than post them up for the world to see.

Day 10
Today I moved the plants out of the room for about 10 min to give it a good cleaning. I took a couple pics of the plants alone so you can get a better idea of how they look than a group pic after I did a little bit of supercropping and moved them a round a little to help the light reach the plants better. Other than that I will feed them when I wake up tomorrow, it will be a half nute day with some molasses. I'm lowering the grow nutes a lil but not too much. I will probably keep them at about 2ml to 10ml bloom until week 5 than go to about 1ml grow for a bit than all bloom. I'm keeping that little bit of grow because of the success Homebrewer had in his dumpster journal with Dyna Gro nutes. That one picture is edited just for safety reasons. This will also be my last time of supercropping, if I need to do anymore moving around I will do some LST. :eyesmoke:

Blue Himalaya harvest
Well I got it cut down and drying for the last day. I wasn't able to take pictures of the process because I was out of live aa batteries. There are two reasons, I think that this plant did not produce spectacular results. One. Almost 2/3 of the time it was in flower it was under an MH bulb. Two. The lights were not on for 20 hours to 24 hours of the day. All the past autos I grew under 20 to 24 hours of light a day and they produced spectacularly. Thirdly. I few this gal too many nutes to early. Fourth. I'm not to savvy yet with the whole hempy method.

She smells great, not a strong odor, however. I will hopefully be able to load a little up in my vape some time next week, than I will let the rest cure for around 2 weeks. At this point I will write up a little smoke report and that should be fun. I'm not expecting much more than an eighth of dry weight from her but with me and my girl smoking with our lil MFLB we usually go through and eighth a month so this should last us until the other girls are done.

Also, I'm not pro at trimming. I had a huge pair of scissors that didn't allow me very great coverage so I just did what needed to be done.
