i noticed the original starter of this thread has not posted since, i guess she vented and then got more stressed from the replies, Well either way i still think my grandma is cool, in her own "grandma"isc way.

I was 12 years old,I had to live with my big brother.She bought herself brand new clothes,I didn't get shit.I've lived with my brothers on and off through my teen years.I had a job at sixteen, I basically raised myself since I was 11. And I didn't even get the worst of it.The two kids she had before she married my dad were severely abused(my dad was nuts,but I was his so he was good to me) and she did nothing about it because he was the guy who put the food on the table and the roof over her head so she didn't have to work.But she's still got the gall to act like we should take care of her.She's a grandma, too.Not all grandma's are nice.I say,do your part, but don't give her any more.Cuz if she's like my mom, she will drain you dry and move along.

you grew up in the almost exact situation as me . except I was the eldest boy and had a responsibility to look after my sibs. to this day I feel responsible for my brothers. and now I am starting to experience my own life. feels great.

Just because someone shot out a kid who then happened to shoot out there own kid doesn't make them special in any way. If she was a bitch before then now she's just a bitch with some grand kids. I would be pretty pissed if this happened to me. I wouldn't mind helping out but empty threats/lies would really piss me off. The solution would be to move out though. I mean if granny is a bitch then stop supporting her and go somewhere you can be happy.
