Grams/watt?? What are you getting..

Hey Guys..

Looking to gather some info of what type of yields you are all achieving on a gram's per watt basis.

Please respond with total watts, total yield in grams, type of lighting used, room area and number of plants. Please give strain and method if hydo/soil scrog etc..

I will calculate and post results in another thread in a few weeks after we have gotten a decent response..

I am just getting finished with my new attic grow build. Its taken me a few weeks but its coming along pretty good. I should be done with the room by next Friday and will be installing the systems etc the week after.

In the past I achieved yields of 950-1100 grams with a 60 day flowering time on C99 growing in a drip system scrog in a 3x5 room with 6 plants under 1000w hps. No air cooled lights just pasive air intake from basement air exhausing into the attic with a 265 cfm fan. I ran a bit of a hot house as the room was usually about 90 degrees..

My new set up will have 2 4x4 flowering rooms growing in a true aero setup with 20 plant sites each in 5" net pots. I will also have a 2.5'x6' veg/ clone room and a 2.5'x6' dry room. My goal will be to achieve a monthly harvest of 2lbs as each room will finish approx 30 days after the other. I plan on a 7 day veg cycle after rooting in a clone machine and then a 53 flowering cycle growing bubblegum as the strain..

I will be using 2 1000w air cooled lights pulled thru carbon filters in each flower room. In the veg room I will have 1 4' 4 bulb Tek Light for vegging the moms and 1 2' 4 bulb Tek Light to go over the 30 site clone machine..

I currently have 2 mothers hand picked from a buddies grow. I took 2 cuttings when I topped them and 1 took and grew roots. The one that took is the better of the 2 mothers by far. I have since taken 3 more cuttings from the better of the 2 mothers and those have been in rockwool cubes in a mock dome for 2 days now. The single that took is in a small clay pot just starting to get established and just beging to show new growth but still very small as it was a small cutting. My goal for now is to have 5 mothers that i can take 6 cuttings each from the 1st grow. I am keeping the 2nd of the original mothers for now as is starting to turn the corner and darken up but is still not nearly as nice as the other. I will probably just grow that one out in dirt with my 1st grow which I am sad to say is still a month or so out. My goal is to have the 1st harvest for christmas and then every month from then on out.

Currently I have have my mothers, clones and the 1 cutting that rooted out of the initial 2 in an extra bedroom in the walkin closet till the new room is complete. They are currently vegging under a 4 bulb T5 Tek Light 24x7 in soil. I will attach pics. You will see why I am now only taking clones from now from the 2 mothers as one is growing much better than ther other but starting to improve. I did just top 4-5 taller branches on the worse of the 2 a few days ago and just tossed them with the hope of bushing it out a bit if it continues to improve. Right now the small cutting in soil is from the nicer mom and rooted and was planted a few days ago and is just starting to show new growth. the 2nd mom that is not doing well has been treated and watered the same as the 1st not sure why she is doing so much worse. The only thing can think of is some plant disease or the pot its planted in. The better mom is in a painted clay pot and the other is some wierd material that crumbles off if you rub it. Maybe that one is leaching something into the soil?? Anyone has any ideas i'd like to know.

Anyways thats my plans for the new grow. Send me your stats so I can post the results...

Good luck to you all..

It all looks good in the hood!! I would only change 1 thing, honestly i see no reason to have 6 mothers, you could do it with 2 if it is a fast vegging plant, I normally take 52 four to six inch cuttings off my 1 mother every 30 days and have no problems growing it all back and then some with a 400 Watt MH. Your lights probably don't put out the Lumens mine does, so your plants may take a tad longer to grow so 2 mothers should be more than enough. Besides less maintenance involved and less things needed = cost savings and labor savings=win win.

Just my 2 cents, everything looks real good the way you got it +rep bro.

On average, if i veg for three months under 400 mh, then flower under 600 hps, having ten plants, how many grams per plant should i expect.

the goal is always 1 gram per watt plus but you need to have a high yielding strain or near perfect conditions... Many people I know net about .66-.75 g/w..

good luck to ya

I have tried a lot of strains and never got 1g per watt indoors. With a 600w that would be 600g or 21 1/2 ozs. Thats imposible! Even 400gs with a 400w is over the top! Dont believe anyone that tells you that shit is possible. The average indoors using waterfarms and vegging to about 16-18" tall is 5-6 ozs. In perfect conditions! Soil is about 3-4 ozs. Outdoors the same strains will give you at least a pound. bongsmilie

I wish I had the link, but someone on here did a single plant SCROG and netted 16oz dried from a single 400W HPS. Damn those late-night reads.

Anyway, the point is that it is possible. Probable? No. You need great genetics, great conditions and definitely some experience.

My first harvest is 3 weeks or so out, got 5 girls going. I'll be sure to let y'all know what it comes out to be.

The question for me is how many days of vegging do you need to get that sort of yield??? I think you would be better off with smaller harvest that is quicker. You make up the smaller yield with an extra harvest. I am still working to get 0.5 gram per watt :)

I can't wait to hear more results on this thread. I will certainly post some data on harvest when i have some harvest :)

I get around 0.75 grams per watt, using 600 watt lights. My next two crops may surpass that, but I don't wanna count my grams before they're grown. ;)

It was NowStopWhining's journal dude. That fuckin netpot is AWESOME. Dude bought a netted 5 gallon pot, threw an airstone in that bitch, and filled it with soil. Then he topped n fimmed his 1 plant, n threw a screen over that bitch. When it was done, it had a trunk like a fuckin TREE, and a fuckin yield that qualifies him as a master of the horticulteral arts. The force is STRONGGG with that motherfucker, lol.

Well here it is...It took me forever to get the fucking pictures on photobucket otherwise you would have been able to see it from the start.

The start of this plant can be found in my last grow (next big indoor grow 20+ plants)

Anyways the strain is a mystery to me at this point because I never labeled it when it got transplanted....hahahaha

Im using Natmoons air basket design. Its incredible and the only way I will be growing in the future.

Its either White Skunk, afghan Kush, or Belladonna X sativa(haze)

The other plant which is in the back left corner is early special its only taking up a very small portion of the screen.

The soil is PRO MIX, its a soilless coir fiber grow medium.

I use fox farm tiger bloom along with advanced nutrients products.

If you like what your seeing go ahead and check out my other grows I will also be keeping this one updated regularly.

This is an awesome thread

I see clear signs of the PH being way off and causing nutrient lockout on your mother that isn't doing so hot. The evidence of that is the pattern of dark and light areas on the leaves and the fact that you say you have treated them the same. That pot itself may be the cause of the ph being off, who knows. I would transplant her into a nice safe plastic pot, larger than what she's in now and then flush and check the first water runoff's ph. Might need a lot of flushing or some dolomite lime to clear it up then after she's recovered and no longer shows that pattern on the leaves go back to nutrient feeding like the other.

She is sick, but fixable. However if you haven't taken a couple clones off her do so now, just as a backup plan.

You got some big balls growing 2lbs a month. Good luck and don't tell anyone...

I don't know what my current grams per watt are, I don't measure anything. It probably sucks though since I still haven't set things up well as it's just temporary anyway. I think 1/2 gram per watt is actually pretty good but with aero and proven simple nutrients and proper care you will be in a good position to exceed 1g/w. Don't go crazy mixing nutes and additives keep it simple.

This will be a popular grow, are you starting a journal?
