i got another one of them questions when we was younger we use to cut different plant speices up we left one rooted in the ground then we cut the head off the one in the ground an the one we cut up on the stem we peeled back the skin an slotted in to the rooted plants stem an put some kind of bandaid round to it hold it in place an the rooted plant started to make the new plant speices head grow i am wondering if this can be done on all plants like combine 4 spieces of plant white widow white shark snow white an white rhino do anyone think this is plausable or just plain stupid let me know your thoughts peace out uk love

yeah i was just thinking of having a plant but with all my faviroute smokes all on one plant summin like 8 different heads from 8 different plants mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm just curious if it could be done i am gonna try it putting some indica's with sativa's hell i might chuck an auto head on there then every week harvest a different head i wonder if you could keep the same plant going like a mother keep topping branches to make more heads then cut them to make room for cuttings from all varietys of weed an grafting it on

it could be done but why would you risk infecting 4 plants to splice into 1? im sure the stress would be enormous on the host plant. why not just grow 4 separate plants? I will admit it would look cool to have a bunch growin like that but the stress for you and the plant and the risk of losing everything isnt worth giving it a shot to me. if you do give it a go post pix and ill give you an E-hi5

Although I have never done it with MJ I have done it with quite a few other plants, all you have to do is make sure the vascular system is touching the scion you are grafting onto your rootstock. The only bad thing I have noticed about this is you basically have to strip all the old growth off of the plant to force the grafted bud to grow so it would take a while to get the plant up and kicking. It would be super cool though and I might even give it a shot, Ill just graft some good strains onto a bagseed rootstock. I thought about grafting a branch onto a tomato plant and growing it in my garden, I dont think anyone would notice lol.

Just thinking out loud but what if for example, if one person took a fully matured root ball from one cannabis plant and grafted it onto another lets say a four week old clone. Would this not increase your yeild of the plant and time in the long run? I've heard of a tomatoe plant being grafted onto a hybrid resistant root stock and it gave a considerable increase in growth, so would it not do the same for cannabis? And if so, how beneficial would this be for the clone? Would the most dominate traits take over of the grafted root ball or would the clone just have a advantage of having a larger cluser of roots then its origanally meant to?

That's real interesting. THanks for the link and starting this post. I think I might try the mother part just to condense. I had completely for got this even existed from being taught about it as a child.

the thing with the root ball is a cracking idea bigger root mass to feed my baby straight away no time to wait for jumbo root ball to develop i got an old grandma plant about which is old as old can be i'll chop the stem in to the v then graft my new baby into it i will let it do its repairs for a week or 2 then chuck into flower an see if the yield is signifantly bigger then doing a 4 week veg from seed it makes sense instead of throwing away your root balls/rootmass from harvested crops graft a clone into the stem put a bag on her or put in propogator for humidity an repairs to take place then flower time

thats what i thought also becasue in the end you wont be really waisting more time but instead making beter use, why throw away a plant when its done buding why not re-use ? it is a good idea

One good reason is to reamin under the maximum number of legal plants in a medical state.
It's common in the Netherlands, where I believe they are limited to 5 plants. I could be wrong on this though.

I've read up on the topic but it takes months to graft plants and you cannot do it they way you say. It is possible to graft plant stems in sections, but it takes months for them to grow together. If you had the time you could graft a bunch of plants and make a super bush with a bunch of different strains, but it would grow into a tree of epic proportions.

Ever seen the tree of life?
