Governor Christie saves the day

I thought Christie was the biggest obstacle to the law going forward. Just last month he was saying if the Feds say it is illegal than it is illegal.

Funny how these State's Rights folks like Christie and Brewer run to the Feds when it suits them.

Just before leaving office early last year, Gov. Jon Corzine and the Democratic-controlled Legislature legalized marijuana for New Jerseyans with certain conditions. But the law’s implementation was delayed as the Christie administration pondered the regulatory details.

Just make sure that you give the credit to who it is due.

Post a link when u copy and paste stuff. Corzine's a fuck that drove Nj into outrageous debt. Christie still legalized it didn't he? Don't change this post into a political battlefield.

Christie did finally allow the will of the people and the Democratic State Legislator to become law after initially trying to hold the passage of the law up citing Federal Regulation.

When you start a thread crediting Gov Cristie for the hard work of his political opponents, you are just begging for a battlefield. And now you have one.

But aside from that. Welcome to the club NJ. What took you so long? Oh, I already covered that..........

I don't understand your insult wou never covered anything...? But it wasn't hardwork for corzine to get a law legalizing medical marijuana, he decided to pass it in his small amount of time in office. All Chris Christie did was push it back 3 monthss to go over the loopholes and sort out any errors or logistical problems. You make it seem like he was outright against it when in reality he has a neutral point of view and was simply revising the law to ensure no problems arise.

Governor Chris Christy

As New Jersey tries to implement it’s medical marijuana program, the governor has made it clear what he really feels about it. Read this quote from the newly elected governor…Christie had said there are flaws with laws in some other jurisdictions, leading to situations where there is “”a head shop in every town and quack doctors writing prescriptions for people with headaches to get marijuana.‘ A find it pretty unbelievable that he label a physician who has the courage to recommend cannabis to a headache sufferer as a “quack”… especially since he has NO CLUE what he is talking about. it seems that only dr's who would dare prescribe mmj are quacks, but he has no issues with them prescribing such wonder drugs like oxy's or other opiates that get people hooked every day, just mmj...

I saw Christie saying that he wants the program to move forward as fast as possible on the local fox news. Sounds good to me, bout time he did something I agree'd with. Heres another story..

http://www.wfmz.com/health/28598386/detail.html

TRENTON, N.J. -- New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said he will allow the state to begin dispensing medical marijuana despite his concerns over whether federal authorities could prosecute state regulators.New Jersey legalized marijuana for patients with certain conditions last year as Gov. Jon Corzine was leaving office, but the law's implementation was delayed as the state labored over regulatory details.Last month Christie said he wanted assurance from federal prosecutors that they won't pursue criminal charges against state-sanctioned medical marijuana programs before he agreed to implement the law.He didn't get that assurance, but said he doesn't believe federal authorities will expend limited resources to go after people complying with state law.

anyone who's touting Christie as a hero in the MMJ program for Jersey must have been sleeping the past two years. This act was put into law over a year ago. The Christie administration has been delaying, making more provisions, and making it one of the most restrictive, bullshit mmj programs in the country .....
Whoever is trying to say Christie is helping the cause needs to do ALOT more research ....
i suggest you visit www.freedomisgreen.org It's the closest source to NJ MMJ laws and some of the writers on the site helped push the program into law and are still struggling BECAUSE of the Christie admn.

btw ... i know you guys didn't like Corzine. I know he shut the government down for a few days to balance the budget ( dejavu) But you should be kissing his hairy beanbag if you want to give any one governer credit for passing this law.
btw .... all politicians suck. ALL of em.

Yes Christie has been holding the program up, but today he said he is pushing it forward as fast as possible and not waiting for the feds to give him an answer on whether or not they will prosecute legal grows in his state. Like I said I dont agree with much he has done, but today he did something good, we'll see where it goes. Ataxia freedomisgreen.org did not work?

You are damn right about that. Hell of a job by Corzine to push it through and sign it before he left office.

ataxia i dont think you understand that christie was looking out for the state of nj by holding it up so he could make sure the federal government would't prosecute anyone for following the state laws in relation to medical marijuana. You think he was trying to stop it from passing when he wasn't.
