I noticed some interesting coagulation going on in my res today. It looks almost like small clumps of cottage cheese. I am running a GH modified Lucas method base (4ml/gal micro, 14 ml/gal bloom this week) with Liquid Koolbloom @ 5ml/gal, DynaGro Protekt @ 2.5 ml/gal, and Hygrozyme @ 5 ml.gal. My EC is just under 2.0. My tapwater comes out at around EC 0.4, with about 1/3+ of that as Calcium carbonate. I also use hydrogen peroxide @ ~ 1ml/gal every other day. I just changed the reservoir yesterday, and I dont remember ever seeing this crap before. Im guessing it is some combination of nutrients precipitating out....not sure what. Any ideas?

i to had a simular problem and found out it was the cal mag i was using when it came in contact with the ph down i was using it would solidify some parts of the cal mag into mush that would float around didnt seem to harm my plants though. i am also using the lucas formula coupled with the kool bloom and cal mag. my cal mag also has fermented molasses in it and sugar cane maybe one of those is the culprit not sure at this point though.

Interesting. There is no odor to the stuff. I am not using Cal Mag this round because my city water has ~100ppm calcium already. Perhaps that is the culprit. It seemed to occur after I added either the Protekt 0-0-3 or the KoolBloom. Calcium and potassium have the potential to react in that way.
Today it seems to have re-entered the solution a bit more. My ppms jumped by about 30 from yesterday after it had declined for a day following the res change. I will keep an eye on it. My week 5 res will have less Micro and liquid KoolBloom, and the intro of powder KoolBloom. Lets see if it happens then.....

Well if you figure it out be sure to post your findings because I am ver interested to see what the chemical is actually causing this. I will be sure to do the same, maybe it's the Kool bloom lol.

Here is what was different from last weeks res, which did not have the problem...
4ml/gal of liquid koolbloom instead of 5 this time,
I added the Protekt a day after everything else.

I am leaning toward the Protekt. Last week, the reservoir flooded the plants three times before the Protekt was added. Perhaps the plants had taken up enough of whatever nutrient it reacted with to prevent a reaction. The calcium level would seem to be too low to be reacting this way, so my next guess would be magnesium or phosphorus. I will keep you posted.

Funny your having this issue, i posted in the other thread asking if you were having this type of thing, then
I see this thread lol, anyway im geting it to it dont smell and it not brown. Ive read that some types of ph down
Can cause a slime and what look like jelly fish lol to form. But it seems to get worse with adding potassium
Sups like snow ultra for me. Just did a res change so we will see if it goes away. One thing hiesinberg
Thread about breeding benneficial tea is a winner and is a must read, im gearing up to brew a batch soon.
