Got my GE BrightStiks

So they came in the mail today. 4 100w equivalent & 6 60w equivs. I was AMAZED @ how many more diodes there were on the 100's. 24!! Check it out!
Fyi- if you get these, the 60w bulbs are a breeze to take off the diffuser. Not the case on the 100w. You need to physically cut near the bottom of it and circle around. The clips are caulked in and support the board the diodes are on. The 60w though, you just press in the clips one at a time and they pop off

How many lumens per watt are they rated at?

600&900. I feel like it's a bit more though without the diffuser having forward facing light directly on the canopy.

It's a very cheap option that gives decent light and efficiency. These are 2700k &2850k. They make the 60''s in 5000 though but not in the 100 quite yet. I just want them for flowering anyways.

Ge makes a "150w" 3 way bulb in 5000k. It is easy to take apart and the chip could be mounted on a heat sink for better performance. It is 22w but can be dimmed to 16w or 6w with a 3 way switch.

That's pretty sweet. I just like how these are just screw in base that gives you a lot of versatility using a hood like I've made. It's forward facing light so the hoods work beautifully. Plus these bulbs bases are so small that the diodes are actually IN the hood, not popping out. Very good way of utilizing all the light towards the canopy. I'll take pics of them installed tonight. I only bought 10 total though. So in each hood with 8 sockets:
2-100w,3-60w, and 3-CFLs (5000k) for extra blue since these are a little on the lower side of color temperature and to add some UV that they like.

Taking clones and Flippin to 12/12 on Saturday! It's finally almost here. I built a screen for it but I don't know if I'll use it. These were from seed and all grew at different rates. Literally all are in increments in size of each other. Ones 8", ones 12", ones 16" and one that's tied down in back right is nearly 24"(2') tall. But I did tie the bigger 2 down and it looks pretty even now. I could probably throw it in there. Just worries me because once it's in, no more opening buckets to wipe out inside and make sure bubbles are working.

600 and 900 lumens total per light? How much actual wattage does each draw?

canbyou take some pics of your light without it on so we can see what it looks like wth the sticks in?

If I'm not fried that means the
60w = 100 Lm/w
100w = 66 lm/w

If

600lm / 6w = 100lm/w
900lm / 13.5w = 66.66666666lm/w

So the 60w is the better deal option? Unless we are thinking Lm/$ of upfront cost which I don't know how much they are so I can't compare.

Are you sure it's 900lm @ 13.5w? I think i discovered that by reading the specs I was a little surprised.

The 60W is actually 760 lumens and pulls 10W. The 100w is 1600 lumens and pulls 16W.

Cool lights. You if you stuck a whole bunch side by side do you think they would get too hot?

100W is way better choice. But a 2 pack for me luckily through Sams club is $12. Everywhere else $16 ($20+ on eBay amazon) and the 6 packs 60W is only $16($20 everywhere else $27+ again, online). I just didn't wanna buy ALL 16 sockets worth cause that'd be a big $196 buy. $$270 without sam's club. So I did 4 100s and 6 60s. Left 6 for 5000k cfls.

Dude they barely get hot at all. Like no joke.

And those pics don't liem . They are Bright Stiks! ! Haha all 16 would be nice though with 100ws. 25000 lumens, 14,500 each hood isn't bad for a light you can get close to the canopy with. But no where compared to the 9 cxb3590s that'll be in there soon. 99,000-117,000 lumens that's ridiculous

The lumen measurements are taken in a sphere and measure 360 degrees of light output with the diffuser dome in place. With the dome removed and pointed right where you want it I am sure the light output will be much higher.

Yeah you're probably right. I mentioned this earlier. More like 1000 & 2000

Got the hoods straightened out now that the canopy is even. You can really see the light coming out of em well now.

yeah thats what its rated. i put 3 of these in a 3-way splitter side by side and theyre pulling 30 W from the wall, so 10W is accurate.

i wonder if the 760 lumens are with the diffuser or not, they could crack 800 with it removed

76 lumens per watt is nothing to write home about but they are $3 each at home depot and make CFs obsolete around the house

my 10W ones get smokin hot

too hot to touch

as i would expect from 76 lumens/watt =~ 25% efficient
