Smith and Wesson what? - where did you look?

First, even if the numbers are ground, off the technology is out there to easily recover them, so there's that.
Second, anyone packing a weapon with an altered/obliterated SN screams stolen and will have higher level LEO crawling up your ass with a microscope just with it being found in your possession. Expect charges there.

And I second the Horseshit nominated by Singlemalt.
Pic's.

It's "Saiga", Ty. No matter how inbred, ill-bred, non-bred, wholesome bred; any gunny knows that. I like you Ty, but I won't any longer if you choose to be a poser. Now, re-think and go to bed

I was thinking the same - I have a .375 Whitworth Express & can easily spell check, all I need to do is open the safe.
Can't say the same for the "Sega's" I'll warrant. :wink:

@GreatwhiteNorth
lucky, right place, time and contacts
Too cool.
I've always wanted to meet Bob and I'd really like to watch Jerry Miculek work his magic up close.

Jerry was at the major range in my local about 5-6 yrs ago for a double-action demo; all I can say is that it was awe-inspiring. I can't even jack the trigger as fast, much less hit the target

It's been years(shit, decades) since I've done anything other than go to the local range to make some brass. Bob Munden was unbelievably fast, accurate, a showman and kind of a loudmouth. I've never seen Jerry shoot live but he certainly can use a range of weapons. I'd go see him if he was nearby. Bill Jordan impressed me the most. Ex lawman, Marine and Border Patrol way back when, soft spoken, good-natured. A real deal shooter, not just exhibition. Cooper was ok, kind of cranky when I saw him, but another real deal. I met Rex Applegate at a book signing a few years before he died. Wasn't impressed but respected his contribution(s).

When you watch those guys, you can't even believe what you're seeing, especially those using DA revolvers! Another fast draw shooter that people seldom know about is Delf Bryce. I'm not sure any film exists of him in action. He said he could actually see the bullet(s) in flight. Lawman and FBI agent from the 30's and 40's. Reported to be able to wright his name in the air with a Thompson sub-machine gun using tracers. There are a couple of books out about him worth reading.

If you do much reading, Keith and Charlie Askins have authored quite a few books. I was able to get most of them thru our library. Jordan's "No Second Place Winner" I had to get thru Amazon. They are all worth reading.

Is a muzzle loader in a legal grow house illegal? Since it's not considered a fire arm? Because when I get legal I really want one of these.

As GWN noted, if you have that in possession when a cop nails you, they will be so far up your ass they'll know what you ate 3 days ago. It's only value is if you need a throw away. They are trying now to legislate #SN's for machine shops who make partial/DYI receivers
I deleted that comment btw
