Got foam?

I hear that foam is the sign of the bacteria at work in your AACT. This is a pic from my brew less than 24hours since it was made. There is so much foam it moved the lid lol! I will be using this on my baby grass that I seeded a couple weeks ago. Any advice on what ratio I should dilute it for my outdoor application? I was thinking 1 cup tea to 1 gallon chlorine free water.

I have also heard that you want to use your teas after a 18-48 hour brew... With this much foam would it be a bad idea to use it at 24 hours (I am about 18hrs into brewing it)? or should I wait the full 48?

I would think its ready to use.
How much you dilute the tea depends on how strong you made it and what your using it for.
I use 1 cup of material (EWC, alfalfa, kelp, etc} to 1 gallon of water.
For watering full strength is generally fine. For foliar feeding I dilute 10:1. so 12oz to a gallon.

I hope that helps.

Yeah, the 1 cup to one gallon thing will work, but I use WAYYY more, personally.

Depending on whats in my brew, I have used all the way up to 1:5 ratio, with great results.

And outdoors, allot of the goodness will just leach away, or die in the sun anyways, so I say, pour it on.

Well, I let it go 48hours, and it must have went bad because the smell is god awful!!! I guess I will try again and only let it go for 18 hours next time. I took this sour batch and poured it out on new grass growth in my yard. Hopefully it wont kill it!

I never got so much foam. From one gallon of AACT I usually get about 4 inches of foam in 3.5gallon bucket.
