F Fuzzywuzz Member Sep 30, 2013 #2 Always inspect new plants (you should be doing this anyways to all your plants) FYI hydro vs soil wont affect aphid infestations or the likelihood of you getting aphids. You can spray or use bio control there are several parasitiods for aphid control such as http://www.biobest.be/producten/115/3/0/0/ http://www.evergreengrowers.com/aphid-predators/aphidius-colemani/aphidius-colemani.html And several predators http://www.evergreengrowers.com/aphid-predators/green-lacewings/green-lacewings.html http://www.evergreengrowers.com/aphid-predators/aphidoletes-aphidimyza/aphidoletes-aphidimyza.html http://www.evergreengrowers.com/aphid-predators/ladybugs/ladybugs.html Any bio control supplier will do though, thats just the first one that showed on google. & i cant say it enough, MONITOR YOUR CROP for pests or things are going to get out of hand quickly and you wont be able to do anything about it.
