Hello wardman75. I am an Afghan Kush grower myself. I purchased 10 regular seeds from buydutchseeds.com and 6 germed. Per Uncle Ben's Topping Technique ( UBTT ) , I waited until there were 6 true nodes and topped above the 2nd true node on all plants. The tops were coated with Green Light rooting Hormone, placed in rockwool and humidity domes. Elevated about six inches with a 100 watt incandescent bulb under it for heat ( 78 degrees F). and one CFL for light they did very well. After 5 weeks, the light cycle for the topped afghans was changed to 12/12 for flowering. 3 plants turned male and were chopped with their clones tossed out. The remaining 2 females were let to mature and their tops have grown quite nicely into mothers that are giving clones off every three weeks. So, this works for me: UBTT on the originals, clone the tops, sex the plants, destroy the males keeping the female tops to use for mothers.
