Been growing a JW GG4 cut for 4 years on a 15-20 plant rotation. Here are my observations
GG4 is one strain that has a few traits in veg that you can recognize her by.
Her pistoles (fan leaf stems) will be red/purple where they meet the branch. Some leafs, especially when unhappy will crinkle and twist, third leafs will twist over/under the center leaf.
GG4 does not have very good structure but is great for LST, HST, SCROG. Her branches are Barky and stiff, but they will grow where you point them.
Yields are excellent with SCROG to control the stretch.
buds big and chunky with trichs stacking down to fan leafs. I taker her no less than 70 + days from hairs shooting.
ripe cured plants can have some different terp profiles depending of when you take them. Goes from cat piss in flower to skunky to earthy with hints of moksha and blackberry.
high can last a few hours, Sativa up front ( most think it will GLUE you to the couch. On the contrary it’s. Early Sativa rush that will keep you productive as long as you can focus, later winds down to smooth relaxing ride. Best of all is pain relief. I will always keep a cut for my garden. Has me down from 4 OXY a day to 1 or none.
Here are a few picks of my last full run. There are 3 harvests a week or so apart. Earliest is 26 days from shooting hairs. look at the young leafs and you can see stem and twist of leafs that is natural. Plants in flower now should stack 12” colas by day 70, don’t take early they will put on weight
And slow down on water when they are ripe.
