Hi guys. Has anyone order or even heard of these guys? They have the GG#4 feminised seeds available. I thought this was a clone only strain. Any info is greatly appreciated.

It's most likely the original cut reversed and then self pollinated. The offspring can be close to the original but normally it's pretty tough to stabilize a seedline from a poly hybrid which I believe is what GG is.

Never tried these guys myself though. Worth a try

If he takes your advice he deserves whatever he gets, people come here to find strains that will really do what they need. By advising him to grow out an unstable selfie from a herm plant,

Relax. I just explained what I thought it may be. If he doesn't have room for error he'll naturally try a more proven line. I clearly said I don't have any experience with them. However, I think it's more irresponsible to trash talk a breeder if you don't have any real world experience with them. I see tons of that around here and it's not right. A good breeder puts a lot of work and effort into their projects. For all you know maybe they've done a good job at weeding out most herm traits.

After all weren't most of the huge name strains originally from hermie genetics?

What sir author is saying is that gg4 was prodigy of transgender pollination. Selfing a plant that already selfies itself, and has a pedigree of transgender parents is potentially playing with fire. The genes are there and can be displayed. I'm not calling you a fuckboi or anything though. That was a little mean.

Edited to add, selfing isn't experienced breeding, anyone can do it. And everyone will get similar results. If the plant is homogeneous it will produce similar offspring as the mother. If not it will have inconstancies. Doesn't have a thing to do with good breeding.

A perfect example is Dr. Green thumb. I have a plant from his bubba og line. Great plant. It was gifted to me. I like the plant so much I made a cross with a killing fields plant I have.

while the plant I have does NOT herm, there are lots of reports of them in his line. In fact my friend that gifted me the plant lost crops due to my cut's siblings throwing pollen.

With that said, greenthumb is a proven vet. The thing is, you will always have a hard time completely weeding out that hermaphrodite gene. Even the world famous DJ Short gets reports of hermied popping up even after decades of trying to fine tune his blue line.

I completely agree with King Arthur that the history of hermaphroditism in a line's ancestry should always be taken into account. If you cannot afford to run into a hermie, then do your homework and stick to more stable lines.

For someone like me though, hermie plants will pop up from time to time. It's inevitable. I take it into account and I'm willing to pop and test 10 beans if there a chance of finding at least one good representation of the line. I also like to support and try new up and coming breeders. The cannabis community is a tough crowd these days lol.

It's all about what you need to fit your life. Figure what that is and make practical choices for you.

I stated in the GG#4 thread before about this company. Joesy Wales said they don't even have the original cut which is what they told him but renigged on the story. They were breeding with a s1 female and they uses a supposed Starfighter male to do the bx of the reg seeds but they are misleading as there are no seeds of GG except for what the creator and people in that circle have if any is left. I don't believe you will get what you are expecting so if you want s1 then Unknown Prophet at sourpatchseeds have JW approved s1 beans

Great fuckin line of seeds. Pretty stable solid results from them. However my last one I popped auto flowered after being root bound even under continuous light.

No offense was taken. I know I'm not an avid poster, but I've been around here and other forums long enough to know not to take things to heart. And like a said you had a very valid point. All love bro

How hard is it to get a gg4 cut nowadays? Anyone, in about any city can look on their local Craig's list and pick up a cut. A real cut at that.

I am too scared to talk to anyone from the internets, they might gut me and throw me in the lake. You would never find me :(.
