Gorgeous plant, huge buds...& then nanners??!? WTF

This critical jack plant has been an anomaly from day one. She was preflowering even before being flipped & once in my bloom room under serious wattage she grew out serious bud. She has exhibited sativa dominant traits through flowering so it's no surprise that she is at week 12 going on 13 of 12/12 & still has clear to cloudy trichomes. The problem is she is herming out something fierce; I have pulled a few dozen unopened male flowers off her huge colas in the past 2 weeks. I know it's gonna be another 10-14 days until the buds are ripe but I also don't wish to seed out the other 9 plants surrounding her. Obviously she needs to be harvested ASAP but I'd hate to cut her before she's due. Here's some pics- anyone have some advice on what they would do with this? I have 6 more plants cloned off her queued up & not sure if I should bother to veg/bloom them or toss them all in my worm bin

Yeah ..herming here is a survival thing...take her now

you may expect the same with the others

but then ..perhaps not

good luck

ps if you can take some pollen freeze it, then apply female herm pollen to some late lower flowers to

get a free bunch of feminized seeds next grow

If it were me, I would not risk my other plants..if you chop the he/she now the high will be an energetic type high... I had a blue dream that was sativa dominant that started to pop nanners darn close to week 13, why I have no freakin idea.. I chopped and cured as normal and it was a great day time smoke...I thought it was gonna be crap because it wasnt "done" but didnt want the work and buds to just go to waste without trying first...kinda glad I did it that way...

Could be a sterile herm. If I'd doesn't drop pollen or develope seeds ur good. Every keeper I have atm hermies but no seeds ever..I've had a lot of sterile herms over the the years

It's just a sativa Dom near the end of its cycle trying to survive and pass on its genes. I would cut it. Also all plants will show preflowers once hey are fully mature in veg, you don't have to flip to flower to determine gender. Ime Outdoors you always know way before they flower if they're girls are not because they have such a long veg cycle they kick out preflowers at some point during veg.

Got plenty of time but nowhere else for her to go...I've got a deep cheese that's ready to harvest tonight so maybe I'll take this Jack along with her. When I first pulled male flowers off her one poofed out a cloud of pollen so whatever damage is likely already done- guess that means any other plants in my bloom room that end up with seeds are crossed with this now. This is maybe the 5th CJ plant I've grown from seed & none have turned out like this. Last time I had a herm it was purple trainwreck which seeded the fuck outta the strawberry blue right next to it...was more vigilant this time glad I caught this early hoping there won't be too many beans; don't mind a few though. Thanks everyone for your advice it's greatly appreciated

I was about to say the same thing......many of those types of male flowers are sterile and won't produce seed. Let her go until you can confirm seeds are forming (not false seed pods, actual immature seeds).

It's just this one plant; was checking for possible light leaks but it's totally dark in there when it's supposed to be...I have increased darkness hours by 1/2 hour so now I'm on 11.5/12.5 which I'm hoping will help my sativas ripen up a bit faster...my deep cheese is now in my drying tent so I'm gonna let the Critical Jack go another week

Ok so it's been a week & I found out that my power had been switched off for 2 hrs a day for several days at some point a few weeks ago. I now have 3 other plants exhibiting hermied flowers too so I have a feeling this is the root cause. Turns out a few of my neighbors have installed solar panels & they had to cut off the power to my entire street a couple times for hours at a time which threw my timers all out of whack. This has gotta be why my plants were stressed out & hermed. Hopefully these plants will finish soon & be outta my bloom room. It's getting ridiculous pulling these male flowers off lol thanx for stopping by peace

Sorry to hear that, I had a similar issue last summer when we had some power outages, made my chemdawg crop hermie out hard. Good luck with your harvest.

Wasn't much of a loss actually; I'm surprised I ended up with a decent amount of bud off of 2 plants I just cut down. Critical Jack yielded maybe 2-3 ozs of premium cola bud and my Casey jones was herming out but ripe too so chopped her as well & got maybe just under 2 zips plus plenty of trims & lower nugs for hash material. Still wet so these are just eyeball estimates but other than the pain of removing all the tiny nanners with my trusty zircon encrusted tweezers I'm satisfied with how this came out. The buds smell amazing and are very sticky & resinous..how could it possibly turn out to be anything other than decent smoke?
Only trouble is I see many seeded out plants in my future...there's another 11 plants still in my bloom room & a few in late flowering are still pushing out nanners- I doubt I can keep these from knocking up all my other plants & they probably already have. Installing that back up generator just became a priority lol
Here's some pre chop pics; first two are Casey Jones & the bottom two are of the main cola of the Critical Jack- thanks again for chiming in

Honestly man i think you let her go too long. Some plants will never get beyond cloudy trichromes and MOST plants will hermy eventually if u flower them forever. 13 weeks is very long even for a pure sativa, which critical jack is not.

Totally agree but be that as it may it was not finished at the time which blew my fuckin mind; think you are right it was too long in bloom but it was not quite ripe yet because my timers were so far out the plants were getting different amounts of light & dark which stressed them out and delayed ripening. Got more plants with hermies now so it's not isolated to this plant. I did not realize my power had been off until I noticed my lights on at a strange hour...
