That depends on what you consider to be "good". I'm a bit old school myself. Grew up listening to Pantera, Morbid Angel, Slayer, Sepultura, Carcass, Obituary, Cannibal Corpse, etc. I'd say the only newer metal I like is Lamb of God. But I'm a child of the 80s/90s so I prefer the older stuff.

What about you?

getting all that sand between your toes, getting wet feet and then having that coating of sand stuck to you, or wearing some sort of footwear and having sand stuck in them eternally,

apart from that I love it

[And I LOVE Pantera. Although I've taken a liking to bands like: Disturbed, Five Finger Death Punch, KoRn, etc.] ^_^ I just like that loud, vibrate your brain sound.

I met Korn once before they got super famous. It was in 1994 I believe. They were opening for Marilyn Manson and Danzig. All the guys came out into the audience after their set. I was waiting in line to get Munkey's autograph and he was selling stickers. He noticed I was smoking a cig and asked me what kind I had and if he could bum one cuz all he had were menthols and didn't like them. So I gave him a cig, and he gave me a free sticker with his autograph and I didn't have to wait in the crowd at all. I also met Davis, who seemed like an elitist asshole and got his auto too.

Disturbed is OK. Never heard of 5 finger death punch tho. What do they sound like?

Five finger death punch... sound a lot like disturbed.

Look up these songs, if you're interested: "Death Before Dishonor" "Meet the Monster" "Bulletproof" "Bad Company" <- always loved this song, and their remake ROCKS.

FFDP is a wonderful thing to add to your collection of music ^_^
